03/24/2005 - Gran Tursimo 4

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

All of the movie parts are directed by the same guy who did "VS", which is also a really good movie.

Is the rest of it different from the opening scene? Because I found that *painful* to watch.
And Nukin - if you like driving games, you'll love GT4. It's not called a Driving Simulator for nothing. :) Add in 700 production cars, and the ability to tune all of those to your specs, and THAT is why people love GT. :)
I know this is going to sound bizarre, greg, but, do they, by any chance, have a jeep grand cherokee in this game? I mean, I know it can't compete with say... a ferrari.. but, with 700 CARS? I'm thinking maybe they may have just snuck my car in? Although with the mods I've put on it.. It is a sleeper anyhow..

No JEEP's in GT4 I'm afraid.
There IS a car from Jay Leno in there though!

At this point i should go all elitistic and complain that the Nordschleife shouldn't be in GT4 since it cheapens the Grand Prix legend experience, but i wont since i get to kick my brothers ass there...

GT4 is awesome however my favorite racing game has to be Jet Moto 2.

nothing beats using a hoverbike to go blasting off the side of a rollercoaster track in the clouds.
i don't hate everyone equally, there are levels. but none of them are the traditionally thought of standards for predjudice. its not based on race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation its based on how much the person annoys me personally. i count you as a friend since you annoy me very little. brittney spears is an enemy because even though i don't know her/care about her at all she still finds a way to annoy me every time i turn on the tv

Did anyone see Nike's concept car in there? Its called the ONE. Its both beautiful and hideous at the same time. It has an 8-speed automatic transmission and the driver sits head first. Think of it as a motorcycle with four wheels, and kinda... with this sort of big fiberglass... canopy that... never mind. You have to see it for yourself. Its nothing short of freakish.

This is why I hate Nike.

I am going to buy a PS2 just for GT4. I know I have waited way to long to get a PS2 but ehh. I hope Nurburgring is as hard as it is in real life a track that every major car manfacter goes to to test there sports cars shoud be very hard.

Yeah, the Gran Turismo series of games is amazing. I'm still impressed that there was no version 1.1 of GT3, and I'm hoping for the same from GT4. Just out of interest, how many of you are playing this with either the awesome new official wheel or some other wheel, versus just the regular controller? I have "wasted" so much money on Gran Turismo wheels over the years... ;)

'm hating that my GT4 isn't working anymore. It's not scratched & the lens is clean.

sounds like I just decided on a new PS2 game... after I get a couple more volumes of Rune Soldier, that is...

Oh, no one ever told me, what kind of Volkswagens are available in the game? I'm kind of a fan-boy of the VW's, ya know? I drive an old 76 fuel injected beetle. It's constantly falling apart but I love it anyhoo. heh heh, the kind of reputation through the stories I tell of it has gotten it the name, "The Doom Buggie". Seriously, about three critical pieces could fall out and it'd still run. Darn thing's indestructible.
