Re: What is your worst accident in your life?
This isn't really an accident but I do have a kick ass picture (and I posted the picture before but whatev, it's still cool). I was in the hospital having gall stones removed but something went wrong and there was internal bleeding somewhere inside me that they didn't know so I had to have emergency surgery that resulted in this:

It healed and looks way better now but I still have huge kickass scar across my belly.

I have nothing on you people. I have a few nasty bike and knife accidents, but none really serious.
No broken bones, aside from a cracked rib, a permanently bruised joint, a shattered tooth, and a lotta scars.

I have incredible luck. With all the sports and outdoor activities I do I have never broken a bone or needed stiches. Even in my car wreck I was uninjured. Well, I have had stitches, but it was when I had my appendix out but that doesn't count, it was fun. But I have hit my brother in the face with a baseball bat (he walked up behind me mid-swing and got hit with the backswing), I broke a kids leg in grade school playing soccer, I broke my other brother's nose while wrestling, I was in an tube going down a snow covered hill and we hit a tree, the other people on the tube all needed to go to the hospital (one for a broken arm the other for a bruised spleen or something crazy and painful like that.) At a party a person sitting next to me got hit by a thrown bottle of beer and split her head open. One of these days it is going to catch up to me and I'm going to choke on a bug and die.

I've somehow miraculously evaded any truly serious injury, but I did run the possibility of accidentally killying myself last February.
We'd been snowmobiling all day, and I'd never done it before, so I was all tired and bad at it. And those things are REALLY hard to steer for a little person like me. Anyway, I kinda lost track of what I was doing and at 60 kmh, went flying off the side of the road into a gully. I was really lucky - I tumbled maybe thirty feet, and landed on my head a couple times, and I went off the road just a few feet from a rather large tree - and all I had was a compression fracture in my back, which isn't even a real fracture. Had I hit that tree, I definitely would have been in big trouble
It was my fault, I'm a bad driver. That's how I'm going to die - I'm going to do something really, really stupid and get a Darwin for it. I can feel it.

I'm not lucky, I'm skilled. I've never really had a serious injury.
However, one night while driving back from my brother's place was a very fun night.
It had been raining hard all day that day and pretty damn hard for 2/3rd of the day the day before. So, I was driving down the highway doing 120mph, in a 55 zone mind you...in the rain...on a rain slicked road. I came up on a curve and brain went "SHIT! TOO TIGHT! BRAKE!"...so, that's what foot did, it hit brake. Big mistake. Spun 90* to the right, slid down the road maybe about 100 yards, drifted into the grass median somewhere along the way. About this time, my mind returned to me and I remembered all that my dad has ever told me about when you spin out. Let off the brake, spun the wheel the correct way and I whipped around 180* in about half a second (god that was SO much fun). Then I had to turn HARD back to the right because I was headed right for a concrete divider at 40mph.
So, yeah, wasn't really an accident, just a spin out because I was being a huge dumbass, but that's probably the worst accident I've had

A friend of mine is half-blind due to getting his head run over by a tractor in really soft soil (think A Fish Called Wanda).
