4/7/05 - Soda Plans
I didn't expect the soda thing to make a continuity, but I really do like it. Greg at his prime

This is actually funny as hell.. Cause I sell T_Mobile and right now I am REALLY enjoying Cingulars hassles when Suncom (Local unlimited plans for cell phones) went belly up since ATT is gone! so we are watching people cuss, fight etc over a 3 hour line lol! They even have extra security guards there now to watch the line, plus police.
So yea... rollover isnt everything..
But wonder if Id buy a soda plan... if it was cheaper.. maybe..

With how much I drink, hell no I still wouldn't do that soda plan. 45 cents a can is the best they can do? I can get a 12 pack for $2.50! Which comes to about 21 cents a can. I see Gregs little scam.
As for rollover... It does seem rather pointless seeing as that a lot of people go over their minutes every month.

Re: 4/7/30 - Soda Plans
The deal isn't that you can buy them cheaper at stores, but the machines like that used to cost $0.50. So in a way they are saving five cents on a can, not spending $20 more than they should be.
I'm guesses these soda strips are Greg having some fun before he moves? The one question I have had is what is Greg going to do for the job strips if the move to Washington goes through?
Probably end up getting a job in an indentical and better airport, and torture the same customers who thought they had gotten away from him.

Actually, 65 cans at $30 is approx. 46.2 cents per can.
To be more precise:
0.46153846153846153846153846153846
mult that by 65 cans and you have $30 for the plan.

Am I the only person who was surprised at the phrase "raise the price to 75 cents a can"? Where I live, most vending machines charge a dollar per can. Of course, I live on a college campus, so the demand's probably higher than it would be at an airport.
In times like these, it helps to recall that there have always been times like these.

For me, the weirdest thing about this whole episode was the fact that the machine had both Coke and Pepsi.
Here in the UK, I don't think I've ever seen a machine that did both - shops generally do, but pubs, bars etc. never do.
Oh and prices? For a can, 50-60p ($0.95-$1.15), for a bottle, 75p-£1 ($1.40-1.86) - this is from a machine, of course - it's always cheaper from a shop. $0.75 would be 40p - the last time I saw a machine give out cans for that price was about 10 years ago!
