Jarp is used to people taking pictures of him. Usually accompanied by people screaming "What on Earth is that thing?!"

But no lockie.

I had a blast. It was great to meet everyone, hang out, do new and interesting things, including that extremely high swing you have to pay for at Six Flags (that I, Jarp, and DorkBoy did together). I don't even mind the mild sunburn (more like sunkissed) :P

It was great to put names and voices and mannerisms and such to forumite names, meeting and hanging out with Greg and Liz and the rest of the crew. And I not only have the infamously elusive Sneaky Ninja pics, but I've actually met and spoken with her! She apparently is only sneaky when she wants to be. Yes, Infin is pretty much what you'd expect. MB was strikingly like his forum presence: generally quiet, but generally in control and quick to chip in with useful information and informed opinions. Teran, as it turns out, is both short and 18. I'd thought he was older and taller. But he's a cool kid nonetheless. DorkBoy, hereafter referred to as Dave, lives up to his name from time to time, but was generally a bubbling fountain of constant conversation, energy, and a fun-times generator.

Neither Greg, Liz, nor Dave look anything like their comic counterparts. I thought y'all attendees-by-vicar might want to know that :P

See the pics thread for a link to an album I put together.

And Deacon can YELL. He won the VR game at magic mountain... and all I have is dead vocal cords.

Just something to consider next time you try to argue with him around here. :)

Hey, Sev, we have a roll of film from your camera. I found it in the final pass of the room.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

Whoa, Teran was 18? I thought I was the youngest person there.

Great!

And on that note, sorry if I wasn't entirely sociable over the weekend. I get nervous around new people. You were all extremely friendly and everything, but I sort of had the feeling I was under the requirements... that I haven't been a member long enough or something. I know that's crazy, but oh well.

...and I especially get nervous when girls are around...

Anyway, thanks again for everything and for all these great pictures. I wish I had a camera.

Oh, one last thing. My XBL Gamertag is actually "Tumpd Over" if anybody ever wants to play. Never thought about it until we played some Halo on Friday.

My official apology for not being there like I said I would. My jackass of a boss said I could have the weekend off, then scheduled me every fucking day of the gathering. Hopefully, I'll have a new job by next year and it won't be an issue.

If anyone wants to hangout in smaller, mini-gatherings, just IM me. Yes, I know I'm a dick for not showing to the real thing.
