Question About 4-25-05's Comic

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Yep. I'm actually kind of upset - I USED to have the leatherbound edition, with the gold-edged pages and all that, but I lent it to a friend to read, and NEVER FUCKING SAW IT AGAIN. That friend joined the army, and for all I know, lives in Timbuktu.

Oh, that edition is special? My local bookstore had that in the bargain bin last week so I grabbed it to read HGTTG for the first time before the movie....

AHHH!!!!! I can't get anybody to tell me when the movies come out! I've been trying for the last weeks to get tickets, and the people at the theatre are just saying "look online" or "sorry, it's not in out computers yet." Stupid humans. I'll drive miles to go to a midnight show, it is so worth it. I first read the books 9 years ago (I'm pretty sure I did the math right) and totally fell in love with them. I've got first edition hardcovers of all 5 books, the ultimate, paperbacks, and reprint after Douglas Adams' death hardcovers. And the Dirk Gently novels. And guess what: He used Macs.

Yes, he was a Mac fan. but that's excusable cause he was older, and not much of a computer guru, so a Mac that is extremely userfriendly (to the point of insulting our intelligence) was a good thing for DNA.

That fancy edition was out of print for awhile and I was really sad, but it's back in print, I suppose cause of the movie. I've got the old "Ultimate" paperback, but my girlfriend got that leather one.
