Heh, it's odd to see Summer (aka "River") doing some of those crazy martial arts moves, as I've only seen her dance ballet, and a lot of that (how she holds and moves her body and arms/legs) comes through in the obviously choreographed fight scenes. They actually invented a new "style" of martial arts for her to use onscreen in the movie due to her extensive dance background. This is according to my best friend (well, before he moved out of town) who was there on set as they were actually filming that barroom brawl scene. Damn lucky no-job-having people with that kind of time on their hands :?

I can't wait that long. /me despairs.

I'm glad to see River finally kicking some ass. When I was watching the series I was always like "Okay, this episode, I want to see River actually be USEFUL."

I'm worried, though. Will there be enough time in the movie for development of all the characters?

If you made a Science Fiction movie would you want to put it out right now with Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy and Star Wars both coming out, I sure wouldn't...

I've been watching this preview over and over and over... I can't stop hitting the play button.

That was HOTZ! What is it based on?
"Find out just what people will submit to, and you have found the exact amount of injustice and wrongdoing which will be imposed on them; and these will continue until they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress."

I saw a trailer for that when I saw Guide/Galaxy ... and -really- wish I'd caught Firefly when it was on, now ...
"He who lives by the sword dies by my arrow."

Did anyone else note the disappointing lack of Book from the trailer? He's clearly listed at IMDb though.

Joss himself has referred to "the bitty trailer with not enough Kaylee and Book" before.

Yeah, several comments on IMDb said the same.
But from what I can tell he's not in a single frame. At least Kaylee gets a few group shots.

There will be more trailers released before September 30... or at least one can hope.

That's what I'm saying. Screw Star Wars [and when I'd first heard the news I didn't know that HHGTTG was coming out now as well]. I don't really care about the next Star Wars. Eps 1 and 2 dissapointed me almost too much. If I had a choice, I'd rather have Serinity come out now and Star Wars come out later.
