I have been the proud owner of five turtles. 4 semi-aquatic turtles and 1 land turtle. 2 of the semi-aquatic I own, the rest have been donated to the zoo or to shelters. They were getting too big for their tanks. The land turtle was donated to the zoo because my dog kept trying to eat it. Have you ever heard a turtle cry? It's one of the weirdest sounds I have ever heard.

Uhh... aren't land turtles called tortoises? I thought that was the difference: Tortoises live on land, turtles are semi-aquatic, and terrapins are aquatic.
