I drink quite a bit. I however VERY rarely get drunk, and I have NEVER (knock on wood) thrown up as a result of drinking.

first time i had something to drink well... i would occationally get a glass of wine (or a half glass since it was a tiny wine glass) on special occations like x-mas dinner or thanksgiving at my grandparents house with the family... and that was when i was 9.... first real drink... when i was 13.... first time i had alot to drink... 15 ,surprisingly at work :p 3 beers .. i worked in a restaurant/bar washing dishes.
first time i got drunk.... well was a few weeks ago actually.... 17.. and it took me 5 beers and 15 yes 15!!! shots of vodka (some straight, some mixed with redbull, some mixed with pepsi.. my normal drink of choice as msot of you know :p) i did this on an empty stomache and drank it in jsut about an hour...so basically... adda couple more beers or shots if i had eaten something.. surpisingly i posted quite a few times on here while in the process of drinking aforementioned amounts... 4get what threads they were in.. but i mentioned it a few times lol.... might have been something about pepsi or redbull lol

also although i did puke...i didn't wake up with a hangover i remember the night perfectly fine and i didn't pass out...and what happened the next day? went to work after sleeping for 5 hours.... got in the door and heard HEY it is my boss's sons birthday.. so we get free beer and dinner! so 5 beer later after work and while eating dinner with all the staff i left.. no worse for wear

First time I got drunk was on a fishing trip when I was uh.. 5 or 6.. granddad left his bottle of rum and coke out, it was mixed ina coke bottle.. I was really thirsty.. so yea, I drank dunno how much, waddled back to the tent and passed out.
Can't remember if I was hungover afterwards but aperently they woke me up and talked to me and I didn't make any sense at all..
All I can say is that THAT haven't changed, get me too drunk and I start gibberishing on a mix between finnish and russian.

Nowadays I take it easy with alcohol, actually stopped drinking to get drunk three years ago now. But thats another story

Lessee, first time I got drunk I think I was 16. From what I recall, we were drinking shots of Jager mixed with some kind of chocolate mudslide mix, although I wasn't aware of that at the time, thought it was some lighter stuff being mixed in with that. Then we went out to the local elementary school (this was around midnight I think) to smoke out of a friends bong that he made out of a stolen graduated cylinder from science class. I was already pretty gone by then, even moreso when we got back to my friends house. Then we proceeded to do shots of green apple schnapps (which wasn't too bad) and straight shots of jager. Ok, thats the one thing I just cannot drink is jagermeister. I know alcohol can taste bad, but man I HATE jager. I don't remember quite what happened after that, besides one of my friends sitting on my slice of pizza on accident, and me not realizing it until about an hour later. Oh, and an incredibly hilarious situation where my friend's dad came home for like 15 minutes, while we were all sitting in the livingroom where the TV was on. Unknown to us (we were pretty shitfaced) some show on the History International channel was on, and some guy was speaking German without subtitles. His dad walks in, looks at the TV, looks at us, and just walks out of the house, giving us the oddest look as to why in hell would we be watching that on TV...

Ahh, those were the days.

Never been drunk, but I must say it was incredibly depressing to see 40-50 sixteen year olds pouring glasses half- or three-quarters full of straight vodka (normal drinking glasses, not shot glasses) at a recent party. Honestly, after seeing so many people drinking with the express purpose of getting themselves shitfaced, I doubt I'll be getting drunk any time soon.

I doubt many 16 year olds could handle that size of shot, I've been abusing my liver for a dozen years and I couldn't handle that size of shot
Even a short glass is going to be a struggle

I know - that's pretty much what I was thinking at the time. To the best of my knowledge, there were quite a few teenagers puking during the night, which didn't surprise me, but nobody required medical help, which did.

What I think might have happened is that they diluted and/or spilled the drinks (heh, drunk people != well-coordinated) enough that they were able to pass out peacefully before they could do themselves much harm, and/or there were enough relatively sober people around to help them. I did notice that most of them were gone by midnight, which struck me as odd (we were all staying in the same hotel, and previous parties during the week had gone much later).

While I'm glad that nobody seriously fucked themselves up, it did disturb me fairly badly.

EDIT: just to clarify, I'm not entirely sure of the capacity of a "hi-ball" glass. To avoid confusion, the ones I'm referring to are the standard-sized glass you'll find in any hotel room (as opposed to, say, a pint mug or schooner), with a capacity of ~300mL.
