6/2/05 - Shwa?

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

I think the website is burping again.

Heh, yeah. It makes me want to sit down beside him, ruffle his hair a bit, hand him an ice-cold Pepsi, and shoot the breeze with him till he's feeling better. And then we can go play catch in the yard, and I can teach him how to tie his shoes, and...oh wait, he's not my son. Oh well, the feeling's the same :P

I don't see how Greg is going to make this comic work when he finally publishes it in the book. You can't animate ink!

It doesn't need to blink to get the point across to anyone who's ever used any batter-powered equipment before, such as a cell phone.

Flipbooks, of course!

I like how after 2 minutes, the low fuel light blinks on the gasometer.

This is going to be Greg's new thing: stare at the comic for a number of minutes until the secret message appears! And then on april fools day there will BE NO SECRET MESSAGE. The forums will be scrambling to analyze all the frames of the gif only to find it fruitless. Then, at the final hour of the day, Greg will secretly update the comic with a secret-message version, mockng the Computers section of the forum in such a way that they will be lead to a counter-assault, the nature of which is undisclosed at the current time and will remain so until "the plan" is executed.

What? No. Is this your idea of funny? Getting people who trust you to stare at the website without blinking for a long time? Negative. It doesn't happen, people.

I have to admit, even if it doesn't happen, it is funny. I'm not going to test it, personally, thanks to Deacon's warning, but...

The GIF has 2 frames: one with the battery light on and the other with it off. That's it.

After seeing this comic, I really want Greg to make this strip into a shirt. I would buy at least two of them. The point is well made and I would love to wear this on those weekends after a hard day of work. Think about it, this comic on the front and the logo REAL LIFE on the back. I think it is probably the most politically charged and accurate comic I have read in a while. I know the message is that Greg is out of ideas, but this comic just went into my top 10 Real Life comics of all time.
