I HATE MONDAYS
I HATE MONDAYS

It's a parody of Garfield. This was the first time a parody of Garfield has made me laugh. It made me laugh so hard I had to muffle my laughter to keep from waking other people in the household up.
I love that pose in panel three with the arm. It can be used to express so many emotions.
*Pain
*Anger
*Discomfort
*Fright
*Sadness
*Happiness (in conjuction with maniacal laughter)
In fact, I use it every time I diabolically laugh myself. It just doesn't feel complete without the pose.
By the way:

For some reason I hear him saying "BUT AAAH HAAAAAATES MONDAYS!" in the manner of Yosemite Sam. Hee.

Re: I HATE MONDAYS
I thought it was funny enough to register here, and make this my first post. I mean, who wouldn't laugh at a garfield parody?
I thought it was funny, but... how is it a parody of Garfield? (I don't really read it anymore, but I would love an explanation.)
Some of my colleagues think that the chemicals we are experimenting with could potentially cause brain damage, however I think that fish crunchy bits of salami my new red hippie noodle. Naked pool frogs?

I like how the placement of the ketchup bottle makes the third panel seem more... expressive.

And sleeping in until the afternoon, and kicking Odie off the table.
Occasionally there would be jokes about Garfield eating every plant John Arbuckle brought home.
Nermal would visit, and Garfield would visit Abu Dhabi.
Garfield, Nermal, and Odie would get stuck in a tree.
John Arbuckle visits his relatives on the farm.
Garfield gets stuck in sweaters John's mother sends for Christmas.
Garfield birthday storyline.
Garfield hops on his scale and conversates with it. Usually it says something like, "Ouch! You're hurting me."
Garfield goes on a diet.
Garfield talks to his stuffed bear Pookie.
Garfield steals food from his owner.
Garfield goes out onto the fence and sings. This ends when someone throws a boot at him. He will then try stand-up comedy.
Garfield pretends to chase mice. The mice pay him not to eat them, or he lets them walk away in front of John.
I read through all the archives, and that's about all of it. Every once in a while, I noticed, the author will just color an old black and white strip and post it as today's strip.
That was a good comic.

Heh, I liked the parody, but the fact that it's a Monday-hating comic on a Wednesday amused me as well.
