Real Life in Mozilla Firefox

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Real Life in Mozilla Firefox

Post by Fox_Spy » Mon Jun 27, 2005 10:20 pm

I'm using Mozilla Firefox and it looks like the page has exploded. Rather than have drop down menus, I just have lists on the page. Nothing is in the right place and worst of all, there's no comic. Is anyone else having this problem?

I'd ask Topcat what the problem is.

(and I'm currently at a computer with only IE, so I can't check)

I haven't been able to get the site up all day, but if it suddenly works again, I'll check it too.

The site has been going nutso recently again. Mac Hall has been having the same problems.

It's almost certainly a problem with you getting the HTML for the site but not the CSS document that tells your browser how to arrange it all on your screen. Just refresh it.

And Lethal Doses. I keep getting errors "Operation timed out when trying to contact . . . ." Right now I'm getting a 'Connection was refused when trying to contact http://www.reallifecomics.com"

(And for some reason it's going to link that and I can't make it stop . . . :?)

What Deacon said... Unfortunatly I can't in all honesty blame Firefox specifically this time, it's all on the server. :P

I have firefox, and it did that to me yesterday on my computer, but now I'm using my parents computer, and I can get to the site, and it looks fine. And that's on firefox too.

First try: Timed out
Second: Time out
Third: Site exploded
Fourth: connection refused
Fifth: loaded, just slowly.

So... yeah... it loads eventually if you just keep trying.

Or if you keep trying -- like the 7000 others -- you keep preventing people from getting to it. :P
