University in Australia
I've been to France a few times, I think its an equal level of bigotry on both sides.
They also dislike the English, but once you make sure they know you are Irish, Scottish or Welsh, they'll buy you a drink as a fellow downtrodden Celt.

Did you imagine the final sound as a gun? Or the shattered windows of a car? Did you ever imagine the last thing you'd hear as you're fading out was a song?

Re: University in Australia
I guess it all depends in the end on personal preference, the university of newcastle in nsw has a very good exchange student program from what I have been told by some of the exchange students there.
Run away with me?
You all know who that is directed at.

Seriously, frenchy-mouse, a lot of universities in this part of the world (Australia, New Zealand) have English language entry requirements. I would make sure that you have fully investigated the level of english (written and spoken) required to attend. There is no point arriving and being held back by your inability with the language.
Not picking on you, (maybe it's just your typing) just advising!

Probably you're right but I must to do a year in a country which talk english. In the paper I've some matters to talk to. I've already go travel in USA or England and I had no problem to understand people, movies, I read some books in english, but I don't why in the paper I lost all my words. Anyway I've not choice, and I hope learn english correctly and enjoy it!
You know in electronic the most of words are english, it's easy to understand this class.

Sloth: Am I a year behind already?

February was some lyrics or quotes month or something. I don't even remember what year all this was.

One thing to think about is the weather, Frenchy. From the exchange students I know, they concentrate somewhat on their study, but use the time here to enjoy themselves a lot as well.
I hate to say Queensland is good for anything, but most people like the warmer weather here...
(uh...if that upsets anyone, I've lived here most of my life, so I'm almost enough of an honorary banana bender to get away with it...)
For the record, one of my flatmates is a French exchange student, doing something around Chemistry - I could ask him what he went through to choose if you want?

Fuck yarr it is. I went there, it's a really amazing campus and a great uni toooo. Depends where you want to stay in Australia? I don't know shit about universities over east. UWA is definitely the best in WA, though.
Oh and come to Australia, we're not as stupid or obese.

Too many professors named Bruce.

Re: University in Australia
Come on, I just finished my BSc at Melbourne University, and only 90% of my lecturers were called Bruce. (That'd change if I was doing philosophy, I suppose)
Obviously I'd recommend coming to The University of Melbourne, especially if you don't want the drudgery of only having one season for the entire day. We get all four down here

My last visit to melbourne:
Morning: 4 degrees
Mid morning: Sudden thunderstorm
Afternoon: 40 degrees, 6 billion percent humidity; dust storm
Plus the sun goes down at NIGHT instead of around 6pm. Driving around at 8pm in broad daylight is WEIRD (although I am assured this is the norm in many countries.. at my place, the sun starts to set at 5:30 and it's dark at 6)

If you are going to uni in Australia and you want to be on the east coast DON'T go to any Sydney university (U. Syd, U. NSW etc etc) go to either Wollongong Uni or Newcastle Uni. Both the Uni's are just as good if not better than the Sydney ones also it is much less aggressive on the wallet and Newy and the Gong are far better places to have a good time.
If you wanna see the sights of Sydney it is a 2 hour train ride from Newcastle and maybe an hour from Wollongong.
