terrorist attack in israel - crap !

Post by CyberEd » Thu Aug 04, 2005 9:39 pm

CNN got it wrong
The BBC is inacurate
An article summing things up
some background: a converted jewish AWOL soldier - a Kach member (Kahana chai - a terrorist jewish group, was a racist political movement, and was outlawed because of it's racist agenda and actions) went on a bus going to Shfaram (a village inhabited by:arab muslims, arab christians and druze) and started shooting people randomly.
three people are dead (last I heard) and they are all christians.
CNN said he was a soldier, he's not - he's a torrorist and a deserter. BBC says he was lynched, a man shooting randomly at people is never lynched - he's killed. and if anything he had it comming. if you ask me, better kill him right there and then, since there's no death penalty in Israel...

what freaks me out the most is that the shooting was in a Druze neighborhood...
druze are not arabs, a great deal of them serve in the IDF
this really is upsetting.

The difference is that this is an Israeli committing the action, something which I'm sure several Palestinian groups were happy to watch.
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

Herr Doktor!, you're getting massively confused... this attack did not take place in the occupied territories.... a small map to help me out here:
Image

the occupied territories are 2 (west bank) and 3 (gaza)
if and when the army attacks targets it'll be in gaza and/or in the west bank.
(since the fighting goes on there, the terrorists, and palestinians are housing those areas)

the terrorist attacks would usualy be in jewish cities such as 4 (tel aviv) or 5 (jerusalem) since these are the areas where jewish people live.

this terrorist atack was in 1. shfaram.
though inhabited by arabs it's an ISRAELY city with ISRAELY citizens, this was an attack by a jewish terrorist against ISRAELIES.
yes, they are not jewish.
but they pay taxes, own an israely ID card and passport, they serve in the army and, for anyone concerned are Israeli.
you'll never hear about the army attacking cities like shfaram. just as you won't hear about the army attacking Tel-Aviv...

Honestly I find this rather unsurprising from the modern news media. Almost everything I see on from them you have to take with a grain of salt.

CyberEd, Is the attack linked to the current Gaza withdrawal unrest, or was this an isolated incident by a nutcase?

it is an isolated incident by a nutcase which was infulenced by the current Gaza withdrawal.
this is (undoubtfully) a crazy guy. his explanation to his actions (before he was killed) was he was trying to stop the disengagement.
well guess what ?
it's not going to work

Actually if he claimed to be Palestinian and had attacked the withdrawing Isreali forces it might have...of course he was stupid about it, so it didn't.

they still might do that...
I mean Israely jews shooting at Israelies who come to evacuate them... it's what everyone fears...
and about that guy:
turns out there's a problem burying him now... the military will NOT be willing to bury him in a the military cemetery with a military funeral, his former town Rishon-Le'Zion don't want his body in it's cemetery... and even the settlement he lived in (Tapuh) won't take his body.
his parents are infuriated...

So give the body to his parents and let them bury him. Or hell, just cremate him and toss the ashes in the garbage.
