New Family Guy Season

Post by Deacon » Mon Sep 12, 2005 2:14 am

I've been a huge fan of Family Guy since the beginning. It's one of my favorite shows, yes, EVAR!! When they came back for the 4th season, I was skeptical, and while it didn't necessarily always have the same sparkle as before, and sometimes it seemed like they were trying to hard, in general it was still a great show. But seriously, tonight was the beginning of the 5th season. I wasn't sure what to expect, really. But what I got I liked. A lot. It was one of the funniest episodes, bar none.

Anyone else crazy like me?

then you need a sense of humor Teranfirbt. I think I would consider myself a family guy nut. I got all the episodes on my computer (except the elusive season 5, and some of season 4). Damn the fact that they don't air family guy in Australia!!

I like how Stewie is not officially a pimp. And that Patrick Stewart, Michael Dorn, and Rick Berman all did their respective Star Trek voices for that joke. ^_^

AzraeL, Seasons 1 through 3 were released on DVD already. Season 4 just passed. Season 5 started with yesterday's episode.

I like Family Guy, I really do. But I'd agree that it is sometimes a bit hit and miss
The funny stuff is real belly-laugh material but the no-hitters are a little too common in the later episodes
Also, a lot of the target references bypass me as I don't watch American TV

Worth it for those two or three hilarious points in the episodes though

Patrick Stewart actually plays a character on American Dad, so it was obvious that he would lend a line.

I agree with the greatness of this episode. We need another Giant Chicken vs. Peter fight though.

No, once every two seasons or so is plenty.

Oh god, as much as I laughed when they broght the chicken back, I don't know if I could take another chicken fight just yet.

Did anyone think last night's American Dad episode was better than the new Family Guy? :shifty: I was rolling.

I missed the new episode of Family Guy, I'll catch it on the torrents later, but I did get to see the new episode of American Dad, and it was hillarious! That show sure came a long ways from it's crappy Super Bowl pseudo premier.

I thought this was one of the best episodes of the new batch(es). I usually just laugh a little bit at these things, but there were repeated guffaws emanating from the old larynx last night.

The Indiana Jones reference was possibly my favorite ending to date. And I have word that it slayed my dad too. (He's an Indiana Jones nut.)

I thought it was a lot less hit-and-miss than the series had been tending toward. Hopefully this season will continue to buck that trend... with more Herculoids.

Sigh. I miss Family Guy. I wish I had access to the new seasons.

On the bright side of things I have the first 3 seasons on DVD :D
