Sigh comics page has been down for 2 days. =(

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

As somebody who is(half heartedly) looking for a good CHEAP anvil - I felt the need to comment. :D

First - ComicGreg is Helluva lot stronger than I thought - a decent anvil weighs over 150lbs - 250lb anvils are pretty common. They ain't cheap - a good one goes for a couple of hundred bucks.

BTW - Northern Tool sells new ones relatively cheap - be warned they're no name brand and are fairly light, the heaviest is only 70lbs.

I thought most of the guys making plate these days were using english wheels? Greg, are they making it on anvils using the anvils and a forge?

BTW, most knifemakers prefer a chunk of well used rail for an anvil - they like the narrower profile for forging to shape.

I just wanna see ComicLiz's face when he wants a forge for a matching cocktail table. :D

<EDIT> Greg, you might wanna look at this:Linky
