Comic for 10/21-Find Your Grail, Y'all!

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

As an extremely obsessed Broadway Geek, I gotta say. This. Was. Awesome.

And I always use Spamalot against my anti-showtunes friends as a weapon. :D

"Beer is manly, right?"

"Only if it's cheap beer."

Don't forget fake man-grappling!

But she is a witch. She turned me into a newt! (I got better.)

A friend in my radio class in high school used to say, "If I've offended one person today, I'm not trying hard enough!"

Well, the stupid thing is, Real Life is not TRYING to offend people. People seem to take offence at everything, apparently. Yeesh...

It's true, musicals are for gays.
You should make an apology comic.

Overcompensation: The best way to defend yourself of being accused as what you are not.

Greg is not gay, so he has to do manly things to defend himself against the supposed accusation. Its the MANLY thing to do.

Just got another one:
So since when the hell are showtunes considered "un-manly" or such? I've been doing musicals for the past 6 years, singing "showtunes" in all of them. So does that make me unmanly? I normally enjoy your comic, I check everyday, but I'm thinking this is going to be the standing point of where I'm not going to come anymore. Thanks for a good couple of years, and I leave with.. Fuck you.

Oh but one more thing.. Does this have anything to do with gays because it sure as hell looks like it to me. Fuckin homophobe.
Jesus. I don't even know what to say. What can we credit this kind of mentality to? I honestly don't know. Is it just pure political correctness gone wild or something? WHO THE FUCK DO I SHOOT?!

Poor Greg, you should add a slogan below the comic title:

sheesh greg's not even the first person to use the subject on being manly, tons of sitcoms do that all the time, heck i think even Will & Grace has done a gag like that before, don't think i've ever heard of them coming under fire like that.

As Scotty has pointed out, showtunes being decidedly NOT masculine is common knowledge. If a man has "been doing musicals for the past 6 years, singing 'showtunes' in all of them" then he is no doubt ACUTELY aware of this.
The follies which a man regrets the most in his life are those which he didn't commit when he had the opportunity. - Helen Rowland, A Guide to Men, 1922
