Dammit! Normally, when someone new claims grammar skills I delight in finding something to pick upon from their introductory post. But while I'd have punctuated your post differently; I can see no problems with your choices.

Welcome.
Damn you!

I stand for nothing. It's either due to low morals or lazyness.

What are these "morals" of which you speak?

February was some lyrics or quotes month or something. I don't even remember what year all this was.

Firstly, you're relying on Microsoft Word's grammar check. Well now, isn't that stupid?
Secondly, you apparently have it set to check 'grammar and style'. Style is a personal thing. Checking in 'grammar only' mode generates no complaints.
Lastly, on my copy if simply says "Semicolon Use (consider revising)"; nothing about it being incorrect; and nothing about being required to change.
