I want to do a film where the entire subject is a single conversation between two men over dinner in some chain resturaunt, with minor storylines playing out in the background with no dialogue from them.
I don't know why, but this somehow reminded me of Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs, especially the beginning, where they talk about tipping and Madonna's Like A Virgin.
I like the idea, if you ever make that into a movie, let me know. :D

A dyslexic man walks into a bra.
What would i do?
A pirate romance in space...
between two maids; and in the background the story of the destruction of a planet by the evil brother of the one maiden. The other maiden would be chief of a pirate ship that travels trhought solar systems...
em...yep. *smacks herself

That was part of my inspiration, heh.
The other, bigger part was sitting in a Red Lobster in Jacksonvile, FL and watching all the people (because I'd forgotten my book) and wondering if any of them had interesting stories, because some of them seemed to.
The problem of course is it would be really damn hard to make stay interesting for 80-90 minutes.

I'm willing to bet that shortly after its release, there will be hundreds (thousands?) of people that will come up with their own "brilliant" idea's for Spiderman/Xmen/Star Wars/Star Trek movies, indepth storylines, fantastic dialogue.
They'll make the models, make the sets, start "shooting" ....and then just decide to turn it into a porno
I wouldnt mind giving the game a try, but judging from what I saw from a video clip of the 'gameplay', it looks very limited. Perhaps it was just the style of the "movie" that was made (50's gangster bank holdup, using subtitles) but...it sucked donkey balls.
It will probably turn out to be one of those things where you have to add most of the content yourself, lest your creations look identical to everything else churned out, due to limitations in character modelling (clothing) and scenery. In which case, a lot of people will buy the game (or download) and lose interest very quickly.

On the other hand, it could turn out like another game that sounded lame and boring but somehow became a HUGE hit, like The Sims.

Oh I think its a great concept, if done properly. I can only judge it on what I saw in the clip, and it didnt look too great..
Consider what movies use to inspire interest in people...
Dialogue, generally something said in a very emotive fashion/a very cool fashion/witty dialogue which is cleverly delivered.
Actors voice and actions to show their range of acting talent
Special effects = nuff said
Now, there wasnt any spoken dialogue in the clip, that I can recall. Therefore to do any movies with dialogue, you'd probably need to recruit friends/family to assist you with any project you took on.
Lipsyncing consisted of two animations - mouth open wide, mouth closed (however as the dialogue was done via subtitles, it just looked stupid)
Characters/avatars just stood perfectly still, unless performing extremely dramatic arm gestures or other motions (the driving animation consisted of staring straight forward, unmoving aside from the steering wheel going left, right, left right)
Special Effects = well there were none to speak of in the clip that I saw, so I can't judge how well they'd be done in the game.
In other words, It looks like anything generated with the 'stock'content of the game will be drab, lifeless and uninspiring in the extreme.
I just dont know, I'm going to make sure I try a playable demo of the game before I consider buying it.
