Pirates!!

Post by Kits » Sat Nov 05, 2005 11:18 pm

http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/africa/11 ... a.pirates/
A luxury cruise line will re-evaluate whether to offer future cruises off the coast of Somalia after pirates attempted to attack one of its ships early Saturday.

The pirates were in two small boats and carrying machine guns and a rocket-propelled grenade when they attempted the attack on Seabourn Cruise Lines' "Spirit" about 5:35 a.m. local time Saturday, Deborah Natansohn, president of the cruise line, told CNNRadio.
Is it bad of me that I heard of this and laughed my ass off?

Wow, I can't believe there are people who still think pirates aren't around anymore. Just because Spanish gold isn't being shipped back from the New World doesn't mean that there's no more stuff to steal out in international waters.

Yeah, pretty much. You just need a boat, an automatic rifle, and no regard for human life. :P

/me smacks Fuggle while laughing very hard.

Oh, I find this appropriate, by the way.

I'm currently drinking a bottle of Uber Pilsner that I picked up tonight at work just for you people. It's from Clipper City Brewing, under the label "Heavy Seas". The beer is called "Small Craft Warning". It is a pirate beer, with pirate lingo all over it, and a pirate on the label. :D

YARRR!

Nope! And since no one was hurt, ABSOLUTELY NOT. :D
