Homework

Perspectives on our world and our universe, how it works, what is happening, and why it happens. Whether by a hidden hand or natural laws, we come together to hash it out, and perhaps provide a little bit of education and enlightenment for others. This is a place for civil discussion. Please keep it that way.
Forum rules
1) Remain civil. Respect others' rights to their viewpoints, even if you believe them to be completely wrong.
2) Sourcing your information is highly recommended. Plagiarism will get you banned.
3) Please create a new thread for a new topic, even if you think it might not get a lot of responses. Do not create mega-threads.
4) If you think the subject of a thread is not important enough to merit a post, simply avoid posting in it. If enough people agree, it will fall off the page soon enough.

Homework

What is with all the people posting about their homework in this forum? Seems a bit off topic and does not lead to much discussion about politics or events...

What's with it?

"Whaa! I'm lazy! Please do my research for me and tell me how to write about it!"

That explain it clearly enough?

Pretty much. And someone will always be here to talk about it, ethics be damned. This isn't always so bad, though. I can remember times when I was suffering from writer's block, and I checked PACE for ideas. I kept it to checking, though.

Geez, I dunno, something about the free exchange of ideas to improve one's knowledge? But I guess a lurker wouldn't know much about interacting.

Okay. He's not saying you shouldn't discuss ideas on the forum, and further your own knowlege. He's saying you should crack open a book (or maybe a few) and do you're own fucking research instead of coming here and gettting it. Interacting on the forum be damned, do your own damn research.

Who's asked for research information? I asked for a couple of leads, and I've seen people request some general advice and/or thoughts, but research?

No, I think he tried to flame and came up with a lame attempt.

I'd hazard I've read more books then a good portion of the population, and routinely research issues from laws to the reason a SID won't resolved in a Windows 2000 AD setup when the TCP/IP BIOS Helper service is running and finding 4 settings in the GPO that wreck all of it...when Microsoft can't even figure it out.

So, take whatever has your panties in a bunch and try again.

You're right. All my problems are due to ill-fitting womens underwear. Due to that brilliant insight in to the cause of the errors of my life I now realize the errors of my previous post.
