ooc: more small updates.. either more of these or a larger one tonight.. However to all those involved in the door area.. Please be around this afternoon.. There may be a bunch of door area updates in the next 12-24 hours..
IC:
Steve's kick connects solidly into the man's side, sending the his body back against the pile of trash cans, the mans grip loosens ever so slightly, but he still has a slight hold of Steve's jacket, for the time being though it seems to be weak. Feeling the weight of the liquor bottle, Steve notices that it seems to be made out of glass. Odd, the bottles made out of glass are usually te more expensive ones, and this one seems to be quite expeisnve.. Definately not something that he has seen in a long time.
[hr]Running out towards the street, fred is able to dodge the first guy comming at him from the left cleanly, the second makes a swat at him and grabs at his clothes, catching momentarily. Somewhere behind him, Fred hears a sound that immediately reminds him of a duck, but a couple seconds later he isnt soo sure.

Bob pulls out the pepper spray and puts it into his pocket and moves to investigate the antenna behind the menus - poke the guy in the eye with it maybe?

"you ain't the first VC I've killed for booze"

Steve rips himself free of the mans grip and continues to kick with wild abandon.

James stands, waiting for the door to burst open.
Everyone ready? This guy is willing to die for what he wants, so he might kill us too. Be prepared, and offer no mercy.

OOC: mwahaha.. thank Zenny for reminding me about it.. I just think it is rather hilarious..
IC:
Digging out around the antenna, bob finds an old radio, with n electrical cord sticking out the back..[hr]As Steve attempts to rip free of the guy ont he ground, his kicks keep comming, the first kick strikes the man hard again, enabling Steve to wrench his harm free, the next kick just barely strikes the man. The third kick completely misses, flying well to the right of the man, into the wall on the other side of the trash bags, sending a shock of pain up Steve's leg. The guy who's bottle it was begins to lift himself up off the ground, the same steel grey stare comming out of his eyes.

ooc: Here's the start of the series of updates for tonight.. short but sweet.
IC:
The force of the man on the otherside of the door has finally become too much for Eric, his fingers sliding off the handle. The full brunt of keeping the door closed has now become Sharron's ability. However, without the help of Eric, she can feel it slipping away from her faster than she can do anything about it. Its slipping out of her grasp, as the man on the other side pulls it with far more force than she herself can muster.

The sheer strength is too much. Seconds more is all she can muster, the amount of force being pressed at this guy is astounding... wait… Force at this guy. Sharron grins slightly as she gets an idea, and readies herself.

His grip fails him, the sweat-slicked rail escaping his fingers. He only has a few seconds to react, as volleyball girl tries to maintain the hold. The door opening despite her best efforts, the old man crouches to the floor, the cane coming between his fingers once more. Alright, now it's time to play.

Down on one knee with the cane in his hand, Sharron and Eric notice the door beginning to open in front of them. With Sharron holding onto the door, there is still some resistance to by everyone some time.

Sharron's got only a moment more she can hold the door, or one final tug. and she chooses the later. Shouting as she gives it all her might, the door slides all the way shut for a brief moment.

"HeYAAAA!"

Any intelligent planning eluding her, Sharron releases her force against the door. but not with her hands, with her feet. The insanely strong man hitting a sudden lack pulls the door wide open, Physics that's a miracle Sharron understood when the creepy man didn't; was that opening the door that quickly, unfortunately for him, means a door in his face.

ooc:...
IC:
As her plan unfolds, Sharron is successfully able to release all tension on the door, sending herself and the door towards the man n the outside. His reflexes kick in and he is able to brace himself though, slowing the door down before it he is in any serious. Now the singe door is open halfway, and sharron is partially outside the Denny's. A cold breeze blows in sendign shivers down everyone's spine.

It is then that they notice something at the side of the building. Could it be? Wasn't he inside moments ago? It was fred, although most of the people inside the Denny's only knew him as the duck guy; and he there he was outside, running from a back alley (remember.. yall are on a corner..). And what would it happen to behind him but more would be attackers.

The guy on the other side of Sharron's door seems to have lost interest in the skinny girl that he had recently been in a battle of stregnth with, and is drawn towards the duck guy, recognizing him as the original target that lured he and his friends out of the back alley to begin with. The man gives the door one hard shove back in, sending Sharron stumbling into Eric. With that, the man with the rotten teeth forgets the door and moves back out to join the chase against fred
.

ooc: a little anti-climactic sure, but.. there is a decision for everyone to make now :-p

Anthony watches, with a slow blink, the predatory man give up the chase and go after the man who ran past him and outside, instead ... he turns this over in his mind as the door is currently unmolested, and they're left alone.

There's more of the strong man, it seems. And there's more than one way in here - sure, perhaps they could find a way to bar the door, but there's still ... windows.

'But, he thought, we're not currently being assaulted...'

Clearing his throat, he spoke up:

"We should get the hell out of here while we have a distraction."
"He who lives by the sword dies by my arrow."

"In your histories, there are continual justifications for all manner of hellish actions. Claims of nobility and heritage and honor to cover up every bit of genocide, assassination, and massacre. At least the Horde is honest in their naked lust for power."

"Time to bail"

Bob picks up the radio, snaps off the antenna and puts it in his pocket. He then walks towards the group with the radio in hand, it was definitely heavy enough to bash in a skull should need arise.

Anthony clearly and pointedly does not move to interpose himself into Bob's way ... though he does address him.

"Bail where?"

And after asecond, regardless of if Bob speaks or not, Anthony blinks as an idea comes to him, though a brief veil of distrusting dislike falls across his face ... "Anyone got a phone, to try calling the police? That'd probably be the ... *signifigant pause* ... safest ... place to go."

OOC: Yes, yes, Resident Evil 2-y, but it makes sense. :p And Anthony is more thinking Assault on Precinct 13 than video games.

His arms suddenly fall of thrown college girl, the older man tries to gain his feet, without copping too much of a feel to get slugged. His cane held ready in his hand, he stares at the scene outside, the man he tried to assist running now flat-out, with their attacker now totally focused on the looney who actually tried to run outside.

Stupid as hell, but brave. It was something he could only respect.

"We'd never hold this place if there's more'n one.."

He couldn't just let a man go down like that, and not try to do anything. He side-steps, and is dashing past the girl, catching a whiff of her. Mmmm. 30 damn years.

Silent as a ghost, the only warning the gleam of bared teeth, he puts both hands on the cane, and all of his might into a swing, aimed at the back of the attacker's head. Whoever he was, he was threatening everyone in the Denny's. All thoughts of judgement or the courts gone from his mind, it was like the old, horrible days once again. Either you killed the one attacking you, or they killed you.

Bronze gleamed in a horrible downward arc at the distracted assailant's head, every ounce of an ex-killer's strength behind it.
