Let me be the first to prove you wrong.
Usage Note: Despite the appearance of the form alright in works of such well-known writers as Langston Hughes and James Joyce, the single word spelling has never been accepted as standard. This is peculiar, since similar fusions such as already and altogether have never raised any objections. The difference may lie in the fact that already and altogether became single words back in the Middle Ages, whereas alright has only been around for a little more than a century and was called out by language critics as a misspelling. Consequently, one who uses alright, especially in formal writing, runs the risk that readers may view it as an error or as the willful breaking of convention.
Irrelevant. The point is that "all right" doesn't mean the same thing as alright. It means "everything is correct," and makes no sense in this context.
Whether the appropriate word is "proper" or not is completely moot... I'm merely pointing out that the phrase he uses does not make sense in the context.
What is this Darkwing ye speak of? It is obviously from Dorkboy!
(KIDDING, just kidding...)
I wish I didn't know exactly what he was talking about, Darkwing Duck is one of those shows that I think I shouldn't admit I watched and enjoyed. Something like Gargoyles however, kicked much ass.

Ah, yes, Gargoyles. Almost the complete cast of ST:TNG voiced it...
(Well, not really, but there were a LOT of ST:TNG voices present.)
Edit: May as well provide the IMDB link and a list of voices:
Jonathan Frakes
Marina Sirtis
Michael Dorn
Kate Mulgrew (ok, not ST:TNG, but still...)
Brent Spiner
So just four, but still...
