Imotuyre grins slightly under her hood, as the barkeep pointed her out incorrectly. An effective disguise it was. She continues to silently wait for Seren.

Malzra takes a deep breath, and lets it out, almost longingly

"I'm afraid i've heard that claim far too many times to trust it. People naturally fear what they do not understand. Hell, it took me years to get used to it, and i'm afraid theres little chance of it being of any different here."

Ekzier shrugs, and takes a quick glance over towards jarvis. Then whispers back to the traders.

"I heard him called jarvis, can't really confirm anything else. Just met 'em last night and couldn't really tell you much more about the fellow. Why do you ask?"

Meuric sighs, and says, "Less than a third of us here are natives. Everyone else brings their culture, so no one really understands anyone around here. It's just accepted as part of life in the Port."

The other merchant speaks to Ekzier, albeit in a much thinner accent. Of course, he uses the some quiet voice, "I've only heard rumors, but the caravans say he robs them blind and manages to get far away before they even know anything was stolen. And... we've got a very important shipment today. It has to be carried from the Neirinwy to the Aledwy. Would you be interested in some gruntwork?"

(NP, this time Jarvis made the check. And I was just about to comment on how bad your luck is with skills-- Malza's disguise got a 2 and Jarvis' first listen check got a 1. XD)

ooc: it's a disguise spell, not the skill

(... So it is. XD)

(But that still, really, just gives a bonus to disguise skill. The other effects of the spell are just reflections of that.)

(And since I'm being picky about it, what, exactly, does a sorceror look like, aside from the robes and wrappings that Malzra already has?)

Ekzier listens intently to the second merchant. He knew jarvis was a thief from seren's comments last nite, but he had no idea he was that skilled. Deciding some gruntwork wouldn't be too bad if the pay or reward was worth it, ekziers ask for some more info on the "gruntwork" and possible pay or reward for it.

OOC: IN case you don't read the SH2 thread, i went to the emergency room today for heart palpatations which is why it's taken me all day to do any sort of response.

(... You're posting FROM the hospital? O.o)

(Okay. Enthusiasm is good and all, but this is what's called going overboard. I want you to have no obligations to post until you're better! Heck, no posting until you're better. Your health is much, much more important than this campaign, so anything that could cause the least bit stress is bad. I think. I honestly don't know heart palpations very well. But I assume stress is bad for it!)

Christi rolls around in her bed, it sure is nice to have a real bed and to be out of all that armor. Curled up in the sheets she wonders about that fighter. Perhaps he isnt all that bad after al, and he was kind of cute.. She daydreams for a while, not wanting to get out of her bed and get dressed again. She also wonders for a moment about the different sleeping arangements that they will have tonight. She isnt sure if she is comfortable sharing the room with a stranger, let alone a male stranger. She's no slut after all..
She stretches one last time before rolling out of bed. She makes if over to the desk and mirror, checking out her form. A tiny voice tells her her body isnt toned enough, so she turns away from he mirror. She tells herself that she is in great shape 3 times, trying to get that little voice to go away. Not wanting to look back in the mirror in her current state of undress she quickly dresses back up, pulling the clothes on.
Perhaps today she can go out without her armor. She chooses to just wear plain clothes, perhaps she can get a pair of nice clothes made up over at the tailor that she could have sworn she saw. Something nice to wear in her time in town. She grabs her religious icon, and pockets it before she makes it out the door. She locks the room behind her and makes it down to the pub.. Christi notices Ekzier and manages to make eye contact, she ponders going over to speak with him, but he seems to be engaged in conversation with two tradesmen, at least thats what they look like. Perhaps he is negotiating goods with them. Instead she heads up to the bar and bids the barman good day, introducing herself as a paladin of Pelor, and appologizing for her current manner of dress asking if there is a high end clothier in town.

ooc: no, it gives a double check, one to see through the spell, and a bonus to the disguise ability of +10 :p

As for what he looks like via the spell, he'll look like he normally would otherwise without the dragon mutations. Decently handsome, peirceing gaze, dumb grin, normal, human hands and feet, nothing really drastic in terms of a powerful disguise spell, just average "normal" human looks. where the ball of the eyes was yellow, it's now white, the point of the spell is that it can change things that a simple skill cannot. Still in black robes, slightly too large. Not modifyign height or anything of the sort, simply removing any dragon components with the skill.

And as for the posting from a hospital, i'm fairly sure that the doctors would not let him if they thought it was dangerous. Hell, it sounds like a good way to kill the boredom to me.

OOC: Actually there's a -2 DC for Spot for disguising as a different race. As Malza is practically half-dragon, that may apply. DM's discretion :D

OOC: Not yet he's not. Not to be a rule monger, but he'd have to be at least level 14 before taking the half-dragon template.

OOC: Level 15 actually, he needs level 5 in any other class to achieve 8(character level +3) ranks in Knowledge: Arcana, so to multi into Dragon Disciple, and then 10 levels as a Dragon Disciple to achieve the Half-Dragon Template.

OOC: Oops, your right. I had to count on my fingers to figure that one out. For some reason I thought it was Character Level +4. :P
