Imotuyre jumps further down from the ledge, to land next to Malzra.

Jarvis turns to Ekzier's horse.
"If I've got to climb out of this hole without that rope, I'm eating horse steak for dinner."

Jarvis jumps down to the ledge after Imotuyre vacates it.
My slow descent into madness seems to have abruptly become a flaming plunge.

(Hendo, a rope is the only way out of a cave? You're an awful spelunker.)

Imotuyre doesn't seem to find anything unusual, either. It seems it may just be the rarest thing of all: An empty room.

Almost in response to Jarvis, Elzar neighs.

Jarvis makes it to the ledge without harm.

(As voluntary falls are treated as 10 feet shorter, and the first 10 feet don't hurt, everyone can make these jumps without any pain, so you can speed through it if you'd like.)
"Or even worse are those times when I catch myself trying to twist his message to make it say what I want him to say, and then only hearing that. This can be a very subtle thing, and it is surprising how skillful I can be in doing it. Just by twisting his words a small amount, by distorting his meaning just a little, I can make it appear that he is not only saying the thing I want to hear, but that he is the person I want him to be." -Carl Rogers

Jarvis jumps the last 20 feet down to the bottom of the hole and also surveys the surroundings. Once everyone is down at the bottom, he addresses the party.

"I know it's been said that this creature doesn't possess any real intelligence, but it's obviously taken steps to hide and, possibly, protect its hoarde. It may have lain traps. I volunteer to scout ahead and look for any."
My slow descent into madness seems to have abruptly become a flaming plunge.

Imotuyre grins slightly.

"And risk your life? As tempting your offer is, I'm afraid considering the fiscal significance of this quest, I can't keep you out of my sight. So if you insist, lead on thief, but we follow."

Malzra points in the direction the water is coming from

"We should try that direction first. Only fools build their homes where water can wash them away."

Jarvis turns and scowls at Imotuyre, but then starts heading down the tunnel in front of the group, keeping an eye out for anything that might be suspicious.
"Suit yourself, Dark One, but I seem to remember your propensity for finding and setting off traps in a less-than-subtle or safe manner."

Jarvis then turns and grins at Imotuyre as he's walking, chuckling a little.
"Try on any good necklaces lately?"
My slow descent into madness seems to have abruptly become a flaming plunge.

"I tire of your voice, thief, keep using it and you might lose it..."

And with that you notice magical energies emitting from her fingers and gathering in her outstretched palm. She seemed to be toying with them, watching them race through her fingers and back.

OOC: Bluff check.

Ekzier takes a spot next to Imotuyre, slapping a hand on her back.

" Come on now, lets at least wait til after we've dispatched this creature to begin the fighting. Jarvis is going to be the most likely to spot traps before we run into them so it makes sense that he lead the way. Besides if you want i'll stay right behind him to keep an eye on the fellow."

Ekzier flahses his mace in a menacing fashion.

"Besides my little skull cracker here is a very good deterant to light fingered collectors."

Ekzier jobs ahead a little to take up step behind Jarvis.

Jarvis has a sudden realization that the mage could do some very bad things to him.

Malzra falls in behind Ekzier, still ready to spring his tune at the first sign of the creature.

Jarvis does his best to ignore the threats of his party and continues down the tunnel, pulling his dagger from its sheath and idly toying with it.
"Enemies in front of me, enemies behind me. Nobody ever appreciates the subtle arts or its practitioners."
My slow descent into madness seems to have abruptly become a flaming plunge.

IC:
Christi finds herself at the bottom of the hole, she looks back up and can see Stev there, just where she left her. Christi looks over at Imotuyre with a look of disdain.
"Put that away, damn you! Its hard enough putting up with this, as it is. There is no reason that you need to make this harder than it needs to be! And, dont any of you make me use this sword before I need to!"
She eyes the rest of the party suspiciously.
