Mike is obsessed with curling. He watches it every chance he can. But then again, he is canadian. I don't understand how people can watch it personally.

Watching it impersonally would be awkward.

I love watching curling. Its strategy and cunning amaze me. Also, listening to the women's Chinese team yelling is hilarious.

We always yell things like "Hurry Hard!" at my bosses husband when he's sweeping the store.

Curling strikes me as the kinda thing made up late one night by a bunch of drunk Canadians who had access to a Frisbee, brooms and a frozen lake. I can't believe it's a real "sport". :|

I can recall Ping Pong, Arm Wrestling and Chess all being Olympic sports. So Hell yes there's room for Curling.

You'd be surprised. Curling gets surprisingly good ratings as Winter Olympic events go.

So does Figure Skating, but for a more understandable reason.

Arm wrestling? Seriously? :| I can see ping-pong and chess, but arm wrestling?

I could have sworn it happened in the eighties and early nineties, but on looking it up apparently arm wrestling never was an Olympic sport.

...Tug of war, however, was. At one point there was a Bowling event.

Stupid question: Why does no one ever question obvious questionable things in TV? For example, on Chuck, Sarah is constantly beat up at the end of the episode, and no one ever questions it - despite the fact that she supposedly works at the yogurt shop, which is not a very hazardous place. I mean, I get why Captain Awesome doesn't question it (at least during this season), but what about Ellie and the Buy More crew? Shouldn't they be questioning the bruises and cuts Sarah seems to always have? Without knowing about the spy thing, it would appear that (a) she is REALLY clumsy, or (b) Chuck seems to have some.... ahem..... ANGER issues.

Because otherwise...
-Nobody in CTU on 24 would have a job except for Jack Bauer. Because they're incompetent.
-Nobody on Lost would ever listen to Jack or allow Kate to participate in any plan. Because, again, incompetence. (Seriously, isn't Kate just an unfunny, female Gilligan?)
-Dr. House would have been sued for malpractice for just about killing his patient twice per episode on average.
-None of the private eyes on USA Network (Monk, Psych, I'll even throw in Burn Notice) would be taken seriously by anybody in a position of the slightest authority.
-Someone besides one guy who is no longer on the show would notice there's something strange about Dexter.
-The entire cast of Weeds would be dead or in prison by the end of season three.
-And the same is true of Vic Mackey's entire strike force on The Shield.

And the Feds would have nabbed Tony Soprano after season 2.

In general, is there a caliber handgun that has more recoil than a .22 but less than a 9mm?
