A lot of it has to do with the gun that's firing it, too, but I'd say a .380 would fit the bill.

And you gentlemen just named why I don't watch network TV.

Sons of Anarchy, It's Always Sunny, Comedy Central, Cartoon Network, and Discovery. And that's it.

.25, .32, .380, probably 38 spcl if they're not +P rounds. Recoil is subjective though as deacon noted. My all steel 5" 1911 in .45ACP recoils less than my polymer frame 4" XD .40SW.

And that's why I asked in general. I'm looking for something to relieve frustration with but a 22 doesn't have enough kick and a 9mm sometimes has too much.

Consider my mother is about as tall as Liz. She can shoot a 45, but has to wait a minute or so between each shot for the stinging to stop. I need to take her to the gun range to relieve some frustration and anger. I'll be in the next lane over shooting a 9mm or above.

WTF?? She's doing it wrong. Seriously, that's not just some sort of lame internet joke. Y'all really need to get together with an instructor, apparently.

Indeed. I shoot a .45 on a regular basis, and I only weigh 125 lbs and have almost no upper body strength. It really shouldn't cause any problems.

Why do convicted felons in the U.S. sometimes receive sentences of several hundred years?

Normally its for multiple offences (100 years per murder for example). Its to ensure that if one of the convictions gets overturned they won't be released automatically because they have the sentence for the other crimes to be served. Same thing for multiple life sentences.

I spend too much time watching crime tv/reading true crime.

I always thought it was in case they invented life-extension technology in the future. That way, you can keep someone in prison indefinitely even though they're technically not locked in there forever. You've spoiled my fantasy, Koeniou :(
