They're suing Count Chocula!!!

Post by NotQuiteDead » Sat Jan 28, 2006 5:32 pm

Linkage

First it was McDonald's, now it's Kellogg's. I wonder if Ben and Jerry have hired lawyers yet....

And this is just me, but isn't this another one of the things being dragged through the legal system that should fall on the parents?

(edited for content, and well, I can't code. :P )

Oh god..
I wish I was the judge for this, I'd laugh at the guy's face and tell him to get out of my courtroom >_>
Seriously. For children the eat this cereal, *Parents* *HAVE* to *BUY* it. I don't see anything wrong with what Kellogg's is doing, they're trying to make money.

How do you make money with breakfast cereal? Sell it to kids with cartoon characters on Saturday morning... Seriously, it's up to the parents if the kids get it or not.

Kids can't exactly go out, jump in the driver's seat of the ridiculously large SUV parked in the driveway, go to the store, and buy their "favorite" cereal, the parents have to do it.
I really need a new sig....

Laughable... people need to stop suing companies for their own problems.

He isn't suing for other peoples problems or his own. He just wants money.

JACOBSON: But it's so interesting to hear you, Mr. Conservative Values, not defending family values. You seem to favor allowing industry to spend $10 billion a year to target innocent little kids. It's nuts.

pretty soon breakfast cereals will have ratings just like movies, TV shows and videogames.

Maybe this will be Jack Thompson's next arena since he's getting laughed out of the videogame spotlight.

/me starts the campaign to get somebody into his kids' school system PTA.

It's high time one of us concerned parents got some tasty, sugared cereals into the school system for the kids' breakfasts, I say! What, me being a concerned parent and all. :shifty:

That, or we could just carpet bomb his house with Froot Loop crumbs.

Sugary cereal in the morning is like coffee for children. I know I wouldn't have been able to face the day if I didn't know I had some Cinnamon Toast Crunch waiting in the cupboard for me. And those days when we didn't have milk... oh, dark times indeed.
My slow descent into madness seems to have abruptly become a flaming plunge.

Maybe we should sue the people who make forks and spoons since that allows us to eat all kinds of unhealthy stuff.
Yo Mav, I'm real happy for you and Imma let you finish but Hirschoff had the best sig trends of all time.

I just filed a lawsuit against my digestive system for processing food in such a way as it makes me fat.

There was a reason my parents refused to buy me junk cereal as a kid.

This is ridiculous.

We need to sue the American Psychologists Association, The Institute of Medicine, the Center for Science In The Public Interest, and Micheal Jacobson, for subjecting us to this bullshit. Hell, we need to sue all these bad lawyers for taking these sorts of cases. Or move for them to be stripped of their practice liscence.
