Considering I live here, we'll go with yes. All racial humor aside, it DOES tend to be a cesspool of filth and violence. At least, in Norfolk, itself. the surrounding areas aren't quite so bad. Unless you're in the numbered streets of Newport News... >_<

Yes there are some ghetto areas in Norfolk, but considering how bad the city used to be its turning around very nicely. Newport News is pretty bad though.

I just finalized my travel plans (rented car & bought airline tickets). I'll be driving in from Greensboro on Friday morning (4/7) and leaving on Sunday afternoon (4/9) at 3ish for Charlotte/Douglas Airport.

Greg and Liz will be arriving at 10:30am into Norfolk. Hopefully, this will provide enough time for Teran, Jez, and me to gather our things and grab the rental car in time for Greg and Liz to get their luggage and toss it in the back, and then we zoom down to the house to get things ready.

I did go to Norfolk a couple of times, got to meet up with Wite while I was there (Having my tonsils out

) But I really didn't see anything that bad. Maybe because it's worse around towards where I live at now. Petersburg and Richmond is horriable horriable places, pretty much in a whole.

I'm mapping out who is arriving when, but I still do not have information for:

edge (estimate is good enough)

I also don't know when sneaky is actually leaving.

I've booked a premium car (something that seats five adults and handles a fair amount of baggage), so we should have enough room on at least the first round. Getting back to the airport may be a little more challenging.
