Yeah.
GC: SSBM, Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime, Zelda
XBOX: Mechassault, Halo, Halo 2, DOA XBV
PS2: FFX, MGS2, GTA: VC, VF4.
All 3 are great. I own a GC(got it the minute it came out), I just ordered a PS2, and I'll get an XBox once they drop the price again.

I have to go with the GC, for the great mix of single and party games.
I've heard lots of good things about Xbox live but trying to get a resonably priced fast phone line from British Telecom is like leading a horse to a river then telling it to fly across. Plus some of the XBOX's best are/will be out on PC.
PS2, 2 controller ports
GTA on the PC aswell.

i voted for xbox, cause it has the best graphics, best hackability, some of the best games (ps2 has some nice ones too), the best *gasp!* controller!, and the best interface.
those things i just stated amaze me myself, since i strongly dislike microsoft. the xbox was the only good thing so far that they have made. winxp isnt too bad. i do not own an xbox, as i have a very nice pc that i can play games on (and i am poor). but if i had my choice between those three, xbox would be it.

I'd have to go with the PS2. Although the XBox FPS look fantastic I'm not a real big FPS fan and most of the games available on the XBox are also available on the PS2. Nintendo has managed to irk me yet again with the GC. Don't get me wrong, they have great games and all (Hunter, Zelda, RE-Zero, etc.) they use a mini-disk!!! Why limit themselves with a mini-disk when it's almost a standard to use a regular DVD? I guess it's a blessing that they didn't stubbornly insist on using cartridges like on the N64.
Anyway, that's my spiel.
OMG, NOOOO!!! I spent TWELVE HOURS on that character!

The GameCube audience is more for portability and for kids. For people like that, a miniDVD is more easily portable (unless you keep the original box, but most don't once they've memorized the instructions or played it enough to not need the instructions). Zelda, Mario and Pokemon fans will flock to this system, even if it was made out of paper cardboard, if it has the newest and best games of their favorite characters.
The PS2 came out about a year before the GameCube and Xbox, so it didn't have all the wizzer gizmos and hardware that it might have had if it had been released later, but it has the advantage of a larger library of games available and backward compatibility with the PS1. For dedicated FF fans *cough*STOWA*cough* the PS2 is a must even if it's hardware gets left in the dust by the other systems. The same applies to other games that Sony has exclusive license on.
The Xbox is the poster child for what Microsoft wants to do: get into new markets since the OS market is getting rather litiguous. They are pulling out all the stops to make the Xbox the best possible and selling it under cost just to get it into the market. The games have to meet the stringent requirements of Microsoft, which means it has to take advantage of the hardware the Xbox has that the others don't. When you have all the money of Microsoft, pushed in the direction of competing with other game systems, the gamers will really reap the benefits.
Right now is a great time to be a console gamer. There really isn't a niche that can't be satisfied by one system or game. Just be happy we are living when we are and not let petty differences between systems break down. We will all see which systems survive the next incarnation, and we'll be there to pick up all our favorite games on the old consoles that drop to 1/2 to 1/8th price after the new consoles come out.

I don't care who's right, who's wrong, or what you meant to say. Only thing I care about is the Truth. If you have it, good, share it. If not, find it. If you want to argue, do it with someone else.
if you are considering the wait for Halo to come to PC, I laugh at you. Because when that happens they will release Halo2 shortly after for console.
And I'll be laughing back because Halo for the PC is going to have additional features going for it, the least of it being online multiplayer and modability.

There seem to be a lot of PS2 fans in here so I'll post this as I cannot find any rules against it. I know of a buddy of mine back on EZBoards (yes, it's back that way, but I couldn't convince him to go elsewhere with it) who wants some people to Moderate his PS2 forums for him... I don't think they have any at the moment and they would like at least two. For anyone who is interested, here's the link: http://pub10.ezboard.com/bfbffa . Ask for SGT Carter if you're interested.
