The theological worldview quiz

Perspectives on our world and our universe, how it works, what is happening, and why it happens. Whether by a hidden hand or natural laws, we come together to hash it out, and perhaps provide a little bit of education and enlightenment for others. This is a place for civil discussion. Please keep it that way.

As an Agnostic leaning towards atheism, I see this quiz as silly and biased...

Uh, yeah, it's designed to sort out different kinds of Christians. It wasn't intended to incorporate agnostics or atheists or other religions.

I'm not saying that's bad, really. That just wasn't the purpose of it.

Heh, even as a Christian, I find this quiz to be a bit odd... I suppose it serves it's purpose of sorting out Christian worldviews, but most of those questions I find to be quite irrelevant...

I agree with the "Emergent" label. I'm not sure where I stand with god, other than I hate all forms of church, as they all completely miss the point of spirituality.

They're not entirely irrelevent when you start discussing points. Someone who considers the Bible itself as the supreme revelation of God is going to approach questions quite differently than someone who might say that Jesus is the supreme revelation. Likewise, someone who follows someone like Spong is going to be quite a different "Christian" than someone you'd normally meet on a sunday morning.

Yeah, which is why I noted that it works for sorting out different viewpoints. I don't think they're ALL irrelevent, but many of them are open to enough interpretation that I couldn't actually finish the quiz. Either that, or I was thinking about it too much :P To be honest though, I just don't care.

Yeah the question "Karl Barth's Theology is important" was a hard one for me in the respect to interpretation. Thing is, I don't really connect with Karl Barth, but I would say that he's "Important" in respect that he had a lot of influence. I would've been better if they had worded the question something ilke "I think Karl Barth is really cool." Then I would've marked "disagree" since reading him has made me reconsider being a protestant.

Jin-roh, since it's YOUR worldview as a Christian, I took it to mean that all questions were personally directed at YOU. So, the question "So-and-so's theology is important" becomes "is it important TO YOU?". It's pretty easy to answer after that.

Oh, and I scored where most agonistics/atheists score, even though I'm neither.
