Real Life Parody?

Talk about today's strip, or anything about the comic in general. You can also talk about any of the characters... but don't expect a response. They're FICTIONAL, you guys... sheesh. :)

Which problem? Why would a newspaper not print editorial cartoons?
The follies which a man regrets the most in his life are those which he didn't commit when he had the opportunity. - Helen Rowland, A Guide to Men, 1922

I just meant that anything that will offend a large number of people shouldn't be done.
There is always a risk of insulting people no matter what you say. There is such a broad spectrum of beliefs out there that not any one is really safe in some way. Why should everyone keep mum just because it might offend someone. If a cartoon offends you, then don't read anything by that person anymore. Hell, don't read that newspaper even if it is that bad. But seriously if it got past the editors in the first place, then the people who claim to be offended is just looking for something to gripe about and start trouble.

Greg seems to be handling this very mature, unlike the few who just came here to bash at him. I didn't find the comic to be the least bit funny. Not even smirk-worthy to me. I say just don't read it if you don't like it, and let them do as they wish. Greg has his followers and fans who rather stay by his side then some guy pretending to be funny and making 'parodies'

I also think that Greg did good. Ignoring him was the best thing.

By a large number of people I meant like a whole society or, in this case, religion.

Thats why I asked you guys to stop clicking the link. The best thing you can do for Greg right now is to just ignore this guy as well. =D

Sorry, but I clicked it when I first came in before reading the replies. My usual habit. But I didn't look at any other comic though, does that count? After finding that one tasteless I didn't have an urge/need/want to view any others by him.
Care to let us in on the context that did inspire the strip(s)?
Uh well basically a bunch of comic book nerds were talking about how much webcomics suck and how only a very few are worth anything at all.

Someone care to disprove the idea that this guy, having 3 posts that all deal with this thread and subtly defend the comic as well as implying that fyad keeps an eye out, is actually connected to shmorky and pals?
I would weep, but my tears have been stolen.
I would shout, but my voice has been taken.
Thus, I write.
