Rant/Rave (not sure which really): One guy came to the counter and he had some overdue fees due. I asked him if he wanted to pay tonight, and he answered without missing a beat: "I can't pay with money, but I'll give you my virginity". Not entirely sure how serious he was.
I'm going to use that, while adding a Quagmire "Oh"

Something 'good', maybe...?

Rave: Got pulled over in the parking lot of my dorm last night. Apparently at 3am, cops just want to ask if you're alright to drive and don't actually make and attempt to ascertain your blood alcohol level. Doesn't really matter as I hadn't drank anything.
My slow descent into madness seems to have abruptly become a flaming plunge.

The fact that you know beforehand should be a rave.
Rant: I have never ONCE heard a "thank you" for any time I've gone above and beyond.
Let that be a lesson to you. Going above and beyond simply raises people's expectations of you and gets you very little in all but the rarest exceptions. Meeting the minimum expectations keeps the bar set low and still keeps you in the same job with the same pay as you'd have otherwise.
The follies which a man regrets the most in his life are those which he didn't commit when he had the opportunity. - Helen Rowland, A Guide to Men, 1922

I already knew that, but no matter how many times I see it, I don't want to believe it.

No. No you don't. These are not the opinions you are looking for *waves hands around in a piss-poor imitation of a Jedi mind trick*

Rant: It's 11 pm and I'm still awake. This does not bode well for tomorrow morning.
Rant: When I get up at 6, as usual.
