This 666 nonsense
Oh, who to blame?
Dan Brown for allowing the stupid and gullible access to fiction they could stand to read, a cliff-hanger every three pages ensuring the attention of people more comfortable watching television?
This new, remade Omen movie? Pete Postlethwaite's brother died after drawing three sixes at poker!
Barcodes?
The papers are just FULL of this shit over the last few days.
Over a number that, according to some sources, has been mistranslated and even if correct has been misconstrued.
If the Devil is alive let him prove it. May he strike all of you dead.

Didn't someone figure out that it was 999 anyway, and it was mistranslated for centuries?
Nevertheless, since "the number of the beast" means nothing really to me anyway since I'm an atheist, I just enjoy the idea of 6/6/'06 for the cultural connotations, which 999 has none of.
I don't think it's the Apocalypse, or that it would be even if those crazy Christians were right after all. It's just, as has been explained to Fuggle many times, an excuse to have fun and do stupid shit.
Oh gods, I can imagine how people might be reacting in Arkansas. I remember when I told my friends we were moving back North, some of them told me to watch out for the Jersey Devil. With a straight face. I think they actually believe(d) that the devil lives in NJ.
Nope: it was really 616, which scholars expect represents Emperor Nero. Early Christians had issues with Nero. It might have something to do with the fact that Nero blamed Christians for burning Rome to the ground, or that Nero frequently fed Christians to lions in the Colloseum. Or maybe it was because Nero using Christians to light his garden (as in, he had them tied to stakes and set on fire to use as torches).
But, whatever the reason, early Christians really didn't like Nero.

I suddenly wish I lived in Michigan. LOL
I'm going to the movies tomorrow. Asside from it being 6-6-06 the movie looks really good and I haven't seen any kind of decent horror/thillar movie in years. I was really excited by that Emelly Rose movie and I got my money back for it after seeing most of the movie. I've only left two movies in my life, and that one was the worst (can't even remember what the other one was).
Anywho, I'm going to set DanTheRobot's strip to a 6-6-06 theme just for shits and giggles. My friends and I have been tossing ideas back and forth for a while to figure it out and I think I may actualy make the strip larger than usual so I can get a whole storyline kinda' thing in one shot. However it works. I'm gonna' have fun with it. I always do.

Out of curiosity, what is the Timezone of the Antichrist, when the clock officially rolls over to the Sixth and the Apocalypse begins? Is it GMT? The timezone of Jerusalem? Rome? EST (Hollywood)?
"He who lives by the sword dies by my arrow."
"In your histories, there are continual justifications for all manner of hellish actions. Claims of nobility and heritage and honor to cover up every bit of genocide, assassination, and massacre. At least the Horde is honest in their naked lust for power."

Dude, Hollywood does not follow EST. It follows PST, as it's on the west coast of the US.
