I'm sorry, this shouldn't be funny. But it is:
"[M]ost married couples will tell you that the things they hold in common helped cement their relationships. For Sonia Jacobs, 64, and Peter Pringle, 73, married in New York last Sunday, common ground was the decade and a half each had served on death row before their convictions were overturned for the murders that they steadfastly maintained they did not commit."
Somewhere, a Lifetime Executive has already clipped the wedding notice out and is trying to find their phone numbers.

I like that they put that there as though it separated them from 98% of the rest of the prison population, including those like the lady in the story who talked openly with cell mates regarding her role in the murders of the officers.

Penguins shit like a shotgun blast, huh? And they really do stink. You can smell them before you see them in Edinburgh zoo. By quite a distance. Mother Nature is disgusting.

The pandas are causing quite the furore. We're renting them from China, apparantly, and with that and their somewhat fussy eating habits, they're not cheap. Also and inevitably public interest will wane and they'll just be two fat lonely bears in an ignored cage. Not humping. Like the most depressed polar bear in the world (IBT 'bi-polar bear') who used to mump about in that zoo. If you watch Frozen Planet - which is fantastic - you'll see that these big bastards have natural ranges in the hundreds of sqaure miles. Edinburgh zoo gave the poor thing an enclosure smaller than their cafe. Thankfully I think it's now dead.

This is why they can't have nice things at BYU. Also, the web page I linked to also has a link to "Wienerschitzel" which I thought had gone into extinction since the time my Dad went to Vietnam. (Hadn't seen any in my trips all over the west coast and Texas.) (It's just hilarious to say, "Wienerschitzel.")

There's at least one right here in San Antonio and I've seen others here and there across the US, but not often.

And yeah, a guy takes out a Lamborghini and surprise surprise it gets away from him, but it's the road's fault.

There's another thing about that made me laugh I've seen when I found a better picture of the car: it's lime green. Who decide that for a Lamborghini, we'll use the ugliest shade of green possible for such a car! People won't care because it's a Lamborghini! (I just thing there are some things that should never be an option, and lime green cars are one of them.)

Electric green or lime green can be great on some vehicles. Just depends.

Still, as a contest prize, wouldn't another color work better? Red, blue, black, etc. IMO, any color besides lime green would work for a Lamborghini, but still.

Maybe it's just the northeast, or maybe it's just the stereotype many of us have of people who own these kinds of cars, but whenever I see a "supercar" on the roads it's usually in a gaudy color like lime green or bright orange. So even though this one was won in a contest, I'd imagine that if this guy had the money he'd have chosen a crazy color too. (Maybe they don't think their exotic cars will stand out in traffic. Note to rich guys: people will notice your Audi R8 regardless of what color it is.)

Exactly, Cid. If it's going to be noticed regardless what color of paint is on the car, you might as well get a really good color.

Okay, so thieves took six months to steal roughly $9,000 from an ATM and no one noticed?
