Acrophobia- Fear of heights

(and i mean....really fear of them)

hmm....Actually i fear only if there isn't a thing to hold onto that is positioned a liitle over my chest.
If a bar like that exists (and it is solid enought) i can stand anywhere and look towards anywhere.
What is that? :shifty:
Sounds more to me like a fear of falling... if you have something blocking your chest it's less likely that you'll fall, and therefore you aren't afraid. Just my thoughts.
I'm almost in this one. I don't like heights and I don't like death. Falling is really fun though. I go cliffdiving when I head out to the Salt River, it's only about 20 feet, but it's the best 3 seconds I get out of the day. Even though I do it a half-dozen times (So I guess it's the best 18 seconds... whatever).

Anyway, I'm not too keen on heights, but it's nothing I can't get over. I have great balance so I don't really worry about falling too much. Unstable surfaces will mess me up real quick though. That's why my bridge fear.
Who do you think this is?

Well if you dont' know, I'm not gonna' tell you!

Two phobias, both brought on by Iraq--
Gephysrophobia--everytime we ever got hit, it was either during a bridge crossing or going under one. Now I can't stand doing either back home.

Claustrophobia--Although this one's getting better (one of the reasons I took a job in the mall), if I get into cramped spaces or am with large groups, I get really REALLY nervous. That one's getting better, though.

Of course, that doesn't help much, since whoever CyberEd might be talking to isn't mentioned or implied by that tiny bit.

*DING

Point...i think.
But there isn't an actual phobia...except a fear of stairs (e?) and this...

Basophobia or Basiphobia- Inability to stand. Fear of walking or falling.

...a little different i guess. :P

Just to know ;)

Agora is the Greek word Αγορά...for market...which was a place in ancient greece where all the people of the town got together.
Thus it was too crowded...and it was an open place so that many people could get there to talk, chat, say philoshopies, market etc.

Your friendly week Greek lesson from LD!

Are they really phobias or you just dislike that? Phobia is when you begin to tremble or fell anxiety.
