Well, I had meant that as, if the Stooges are, then the Marx brothers have to be. I guess so, though. I'd more say the Marxes are required, while the Stooges are strongly encouraged.

( Also, what are the criteria? Is it only, "you have to know this, because your other guy friends will reference it, and you don't want to be out in the ignorant cold" ... or "this is a model for how you should be, mr. manly man", or what? )
"He who lives by the sword dies by my arrow."

"In your histories, there are continual justifications for all manner of hellish actions. Claims of nobility and heritage and honor to cover up every bit of genocide, assassination, and massacre. At least the Horde is honest in their naked lust for power."

TRUTH!

That said, I'll still watch the Marx Bros any day, and I'm not always in a Stooges mood.

"Find out just what people will submit to, and you have found the exact amount of injustice and wrongdoing which will be imposed on them; and these will continue until they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both. The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those whom they oppress."

I have been looking for years for Marx Bros files on DVD, and not had much success. Same with W.C. Fields.

As for the Stooges, I believe I have seen every short film and feature length they have never made, and I can quote just about every one. Man I love those guys.

Neither have I, but there has GOT to be some sort of statute of limitations on "ruining a movie". Seriously, when a movie is FIFTY SEVEN YEARS old, you can expect people to discuss the ending in public...

Honestly? I was a little annoyed. For movies that center around a well-known plot line, such as the Titanic sinking, that's not a spoiler. To reveal that a character dies (when that's not the whole point of the story) in a rarely seen but required viewing classic movie should not necessarily be divulged like it's no big deal. Especially when you're giving a list of must-see movies.
