I still don't understand this...
So the cops knew that Internal Affairs were setting them up?

Nope. Porter pocketed the cop's badge so that he could kill Val, and then place the cop's badge, as well as the gun with the cop's fingerprints, at the crime scene, just so that Internal Affairs would find the badge and arrest the cops so that they were off Porter's back.

I guess the cop just didn't care too much about finding his missing badge because he is such a corrupted badass.

Very long shift at work. and I honestly didnt see the quotes when I read it, I only read about the simpsons,please accept my Heartfelt apologies. I have very poor internet at work and I have red x's and internet policy banners flying all over the place and I didnt see it.
