Make sure your employer ponies up the dough for the hard work.

Grats :)

How much did the test cost? Was looking at OCM test today...2 grand just to take the test. Ouch.
Hot diggity!
Now I guess I know why you were spouting off all that mumbo jumbo at the gathering :P
See? I really did know what I was talking about while at the store. :)
Wow, that is really cool. You passed a really hard test AND you did better than your dumb colleague. So HAH on him, and good on you! YAY! :D
The temptation to do a mass add on the number of certifications is now great, especially since I think a bunch of people are about to stab him in the face.

I may have avoided it so far, but there could have been a weakening that I didn't notice. It was not until I had a glass of scotch last night that I finally hit a normal level of tension.

Interestingly, raises come in about four weeks. I don't know if they've already been decided, though. I should do well in any case -- my overall performance review was about a 4.1 out of 5 -- but it will be nice if they add on a little extra, since they can now hypothetically bill me as a certified specialist.

It was all paid for by my employer, and the test was discounted because it was bought with the training, so it was $300. Normally it would be $800 if I had challenged it without the class (or just not bought it before the class was over), but as a SANS Alumnus, I get a break and can now challenge them for $500. (Incidentally, the class itself cost about $3300 before the test was added on...)

Was that for Lorien or for me?

...or was that a group hug?
If I show up at your door, chances are you did something to bring me there.

He is the knower of things after all, and these are things, so it would make sense that he knows them.
