Ahhhh the memories. :/

Our building had so many fake alarms that at one point the idiots setting them off managed to distract the fire service from a genuine house fire. After that they stopped, that may have also been the threat of fines from the fire service, which would have come out of our damage deposits.

Oh and the time it got set off while I was doing my Lauren thing. Thank god I hadn't bothered with makeup at the time and only had to very quickly change.

Our flat (not me specifically, I always washed it after the rare occasions I used it) managed to set fire to our grill pan due to not keeping it clean after use. That was one of the few genuine alarms we had.

I went back in 96 to watch my brother's basic graduation ceremony. Puts a whole new spin on things when you're not there for basic training. But I can't say I'm a huge fan of the city, really. It just never felt like my kind of place.

Questionable by who's standards? That style's pretty common these days for teens, and has been rather common in the hard rock / metal crowd since the 80's. Hell, I just want to know where to get a nice 10-15lb chain like that, lol...

I'll probably regret asking but... what?

BtEO is male, by birth. Occasionally he crossdresses, and he calls his female persona "Lauren".

I call him RL, so that no matter which gender he is at a particular time, I'm correct. :)

LQDMTL, you're too old to wear a wallet on a chain and should be fined by the city for doing so. If you're intelligent, have at least average hygiene, cannot qualify for welfare, and/or are over 22, a wallet on a chain isn't for you. If you cannot say "That's me!" to any of those, then a wallet on a chain is definitely for you.

What if he is an intelligent, clean, not necessarily broke, 22 year old GOTH?

That last part necessarily rules out the possibility of the first two parts.

Logic error: intelligent and goth are mutually exclusive.

... Normally I would agree with you, but you would have had to have gone to my high school. You may see what exceptions I'm referring to... including the 22 year old parts, unfortunately.

If you're in high school at 22, you're not intelligent.

Well, I could see a student who went through college really fast and got a teaching license be teaching high school at age 22. Maybe.

I've met some intelligent goths.

Er...wait, no I haven't. I've met intelligent people who dress like goths, but who don't label themselves as such. :D

Age is not a factor.
I am intelligent enough to program circles around my peers.
I shower 1 - 2 times a day, brush my teeth regularly, and wash my hands every chance I get.
I'm very well paid, and if my business takes off will be even better off.
Again, age is not a factor.

I am a 31 (almost 32) year old metal head. I've been listening to metal since 1986ish, when I was first exposed to it. I'm also a guitarist. I still play heavy metal, I jam with people now and again, at at points have been in little garage / local bands playing everything from classic rock to heavy metal.

When I'm not trying to be professional for work, I'm typically dressed in metal clothing (jeans, band/guitar shirts, band/guitar jackets, boots/vans). Not my problem if people see my style of dress, or hear my style of music, and can't look past it. It's who I am. And again, age has nothing to do with it. Some of the best metal bands out there contain members between the ages of 25 and 40.

Chained wallets, spiked leather this and that, etc, are all sold at many of the heavy metal festivals they hold around the world. It's par for the course for the genre and the fans who are into it.

Hell, what do you think LQDMTL means? Liquid Metal was the call name of XM's death metal station when I had XM. They cancelled the station, I cancelled my XM account and started using LQDMTL as my online nick. It's even on my license plate. They've since re-added the station back to XM's lineup, but I'm not going to bother getting XM again just yet. And hell, my avatar is a Chimaira band emblem I photoshopped my nick onto.

Not saying those are Skorpion's reasons, as I don't know Skorpion. But it's kinda silly to blindly say you have to be young, dirty and stupid to wear chains.

Actually, I could have been teaching full time in a high school at 21. 22 would be the regular age of anyone who went straight through college in four years immediately after high school.
