South Florida: My Pro-Drug

Post by Beware of the Leopard » Mon Sep 25, 2006 4:14 am

Seriously, there's not a damn thing to do here if you're not a tourist. What happened is this, I moved away for college as did most of my friends. Unfortunately, I was one of the few dumb enough to move back. Knowing only what I did about this place from high school, it's been a difficult couple of months trying to establish any sort of life beyond this glowing screen. I can't even find a place I'm vaguely interested in starting life at. Bars are full of middle-aged and dirty old people. Clubs are... I don't even know what the crowd is like, but I'm not much for dancing. So I've got nothing. Just sitting here, working 5 days a week and sleeping on the weekends. Does anyone know what people like us do, say if the internet imploded, in south florida?

Well, I live in North Florida, and it's just as boring. But when I get overly bored, I find that I'm only about 3 - 4 hours away from Orlando (you should be about the same). Orlando has plenty of stuff to do, so long as you have about 100 dollars to blow. If you don't have that much, you can be a loser like me and just stay at home and play video games or watch MST3Ks all day... Wait, that's not very good advice.

Maybe you should start learning an instrument and find people to start a band. You might be big someday. Yeah, that's the ticket.

You could always become an entomologist. You'd never be bored again, what with the gigantic death bugs all over FL.

Why not go to the beach and hit on the pretty young female tourists? :)

REALLY?! I'm planning on doing my doctoral thesis on gigantic death bugs. Thank god they're still around Florida. I was afraid they'd gone extinct millions of years ago.
My slow descent into madness seems to have abruptly become a flaming plunge.
