Yes, but he didn't stay dead. With out completely destroying it seems they don't stay dead.Deacon wrote:Well, just a piece of glass was enough to screw over Peter back in Volume 1, right?

The point is that it was just a cut from a piece of glass. Imagine what would've happened if they took a large caliber bullet through the brain.

Re: Heroes on NBC
I dunno, the bullet would end up getting removed somehow (or pushed out, which their bodies seem to like to do with bullets) and the brain would end up healing. Peter had a large shard of glass in his brain, it was removed and he was healed. Claire had a stick in her brain, it was removed and she was healed. Mr. Bennet was shot in the eye; unless his eye was able to stop the bullet from piercing his skull and entering his brain, Claire's blood fixed his brain as well.

Those first points weren't very good, but that last one regarding Noah was excellent. Good call.

Re: Heroes on NBC
Agreed that it was stupid, but I highly doubt Kensei could escape on his own. Assuming he's 6 feet under that's a ton (not literally) of pressure, if he manages to make a hole in the coffin he's going to be immediately surrounded by dirt with enough pressure to stop him from moving, much less continuing to escape.Deacon wrote:Kensei can just claw his way out of the coffin (heh, think Kill Bill). Any damage to his fingernails and skin and bones will just heal right up again, and he's got all the time in the world, basically.
I wonder if a regenerator can remain conscious without air (or with too much CO2), or if they'll die and be revived later when in the pretense of oxygen again. It could concievably go either way, depending on how regeneration works (whether or not the brain can actively regenerate the damage done by not having oxygen, and if regeneration can keep working without any energy in the body (if it's dependent on the bodies metabolic system then there's no way Kensei would survive long enough to claw his way out, he'd be 'dead' in half an hour, or less with his wasteful movement and screaming.
As for the bullet to the brain, yeah, that doesn't make much sense. Wasn't Clair 'killed' by some kind of brain damage (in the sense of injury, not stupidity) in the first season, only to come back later? It would seem like Deacon's method is about the only way to permanently kill a regenerator (though wolverine survived being tossed in the sun, so who knows
Re: Heroes on NBC
Maybe it was just severing the spinal cord that mad ethem temporarily appear dead. Perhaps the only real way to kill a regenerator is to decapitate them. In that sense, going after the head would be right, but only half right.

As I saw it, Kensei's coffin was inside what appeared to be concrete and buried.

If he doesn't suffocate, then he can still get out. It just might take quite a long time.

Re: Heroes on NBC
but it cant take that long.. I can almost guarantee that he will be out sometime in volume 3.
Re: Heroes on NBC
Ye maybe i came old in this wagon, but i finished seeing season 2 only yesterday and i could finally see this thread
So, i hate to be cliche but me too, liked this show...i mean it has its flaws...especially in the second season(some cliches, some dialogs out of place and some character actions so unfair to the previous actions of the characters...but oh well), but it is good character driven in general and is getting into one lovable subject of the comic industry, mutants
.
Of course i think they are going a little too much on the villains. I soooo want this watch-man to die already. Jeesh! Off with his head! Why do everyone give him so many more changes to keep on leaving. For God's name, cut him in half nooow!
Also,is it me or are they going a little comics-overboard with the blood ressurection thing. Seriously, getting all ready for over half dozen episodes to see if Noah actually dies...and he eventually does in a good filmed scene and then...hello, he is alive again. I mean its logical in the heroes universe but in the end, noone can ever die...except if they cremate them or something. And if you think about it, a regenerated blood may never stop being into someones body(it can never stop existing) thus giving him/her its powers forever. Damn, too many eternals are going to exist. Which actually i don't have a problem with it
.
The only problem is...one would only keep dead if the actors or fan service want it. I guess this series is the paradise of all the holywood writers e?
On another account, i love when Nathan and Hiro are together. Had ton of blast with the "villain" pronuntiation moment in season 1, and of course the classic "FLY MAN!!!" wohoo. lol
Anyway. Really wanting to see the season 3 and as it seems it is going to be better than 2, Kring said it himself.
I just hope Nathan actually lives...(he could bite some blood from Peter's neck, couldn't he?
) and I hope for Nicki getting better scenarios...it seems they well...tossed her a little away in season 2. And wanting to see better of Peter. I mean it was...nice that we got him shirtless for a few episodes...but i prefer my favourites to actually do something in a story arc and not just fall victims of their stupidity. What was all that with not believing Hiro. Jeesh!
Oh and...GoGo Veronica Mars! YooHoo!!! Elle is lovable.
