Go Astros!!!!
Go Astros!!!!
Since I was born and raised in Houston (left for college, though) I'm a Houston Astros fan.
Anyways, in case you haven't been keeping track like I have, the Astros have just won 9 straight games. Meanwhile, the Cardinals have lost 7 out of 8 and tonight they are currently down 1 - 8. If they lose, the Cardinals only lead the NL central by 1/2 game.
To put this in perspective, on Sept 20, the cardinals had an something like an 8 game lead less then 2 weeks ago.

Re: Go Astros!!!!
This is absolutely amazing to watch. The Cardinals are falling apart on a whole new level. The Astros have caught fire. Matter of fact, the entire National League is interesting this weekend.
-There's the Cards and the Astros of course. Will it be the biggest choke job since 1978? Better question: where in the Hell is Albert Pujols?
-The Padres and Dodgers are down to the wire in the NL West. Personally, I'm pulling for the Dodgers in that simply because I got used to rooting for Derek Lowe, Bill Mueller, Mr. Garciaparra, and Grady Little. Hell, a Boston guy even owns the team!
-Don't forget Philadelphia, who's right behind both LA and San Diego in the Wild Card hunt. Keep in mind that the Phightins have lost more games than any franchise in professional sports. Worldwide. Over ten thousand in the L column.

It's not August. So I don't have any faith in the Atlanta Braves winning a single game. When have any of us known the Braves to be consistant under pressure?

This might prove a mental boost to any Astro fans. Or any non-Met fans. Or anyone who, like me, is just extremely bitter toward Pedro Martinez.
"I only get paid for the REGULAR season, right?"

See though, there is no pressure because it doesn't matter except to spoil someone else's hope. I like the way the scoring turned out in the Mets series myself. Next year will be a good year, we only had 2 starters stay throughout the whole season (I think 2 went out for injuries, and Sosa... well, who wants someone that was 0-10?) I just want to see some good games before I have to resort to watching half of a football game because someone decided that the game isn't interesting enough.

There goes one. A good game like I expected.

You may ask, "What does the LC stand for?" For that, you must turn to Rorschach, who has decided it stands for
Loose-assed cockjockey
It was close. We mainly got through on errors, I think most of our runs in those two games were from those errors. I don't know if that is a recurring problem for the Astros or if they just slipped/pressured into mistakes.
I'm just happy at the future, with good closer and 3-4 good starters already, plus a group of young and veteran fielders. 15/16.
PS: As far as the rest... as long as a New York team doesn't win I'm happy.

Tanarin, Pedro isn't Pedro anymore. Pedro's hardly a shadow of Pedro anymore.
I'm definitely rooting for the Dodgers, because they have a healthy amount of former Red Sox such as Derek Lowe, Bill Mueller, Hollywood Garciaparra and Grady Little. It's odd, rooting for a California team as I've never done it before on principle.
