Well, considering that the community I live in, there are very few houses. Field on one side, woods on another. There is a road next to the house that leads to the main highway. Assuming since I've never seen any strays, and saw a guy running along the side of my house late that night... Plus, wouldn't one who knew no humans not understand the concept of a house? This kitten did all she can to get in, ran between the feet of people and all. One who doesn't know people I would believe would be weary upon coming into a house when vulnerable.

But after I wrote what I did, I realized that some kittens, among other animals, might not have a fear, but maybe be at least a little hesitant.

You would totally misjudge my cat, then. She's wary of all people who aren't me.

And she's never been a stray. I've had her since she was 6 weeks old, newly weened.

I'm not sure I buy that a cat would have a "concept" of a house. :|

That is what I am saying, they don't and I would just assume be hesitant about coming into a confined place that has other animals in it.

But, all animals are different I suppose. I just don't know how she would of gotten here otherwise, her ribs and her pelvis were literally sticking out. Walking in the freezing air like that just couldn't be possible.

I wonder if any animal-over-humans type folks would still feel that way after coming across a pissed off badger, or wildcat, or even a 15 pound rat.

Aww, but 15 lb. rats are cute!

</sarcasm>

No, seriously. We can always know exactly that which cats and other animals are thinking. We can use inductive logic to figure it out. We can base such things off of our own emotional idiosyncracies.

Oops, the sarcasm leaked around my closing tag!

Also, walking around skinny != unable to move much in cold weather.

Based on what coyote blue has said she knows, it is not clear where the cat came from. It could have been a stray, a feral, an abandoned pet, or even an Animagus.

I seriously cannot believe this debate is still going on. So CB rescued a cat and got it to a good home. I fail to see the problem.

YAY for CB having a soft heart!!!

Then seriously, you haven't read the thread or don't even realize what is actually under debate now.

I have, and I do...I still think it's absolutely stupid to have that kind of debate (or any debate, for that matter) in a thread where someone posted about a poor kitty they rescued.

That is what I don't understand... so many things are being said iti s hard to keep it straight. What is the point in argueing whether it walked to my place? Even though when found it couldn't even straighten her back to walk normally. What is the point in argueing if taxes should be spent for a better cause...

I will defend what I said, and what I believe happened, but don't understand why the need to do so.

Personally, I like to argue for what I think or believe. Especially in the case of what taxes should be spent on, as a good portion of my earnings go to 'taxes'.
