But the whip-cracking was so cool, Liz! I still savor the scars...

Well, I'm still bringing my whips... This year they will be used for "other" activities. So never fear, you will still be able to savor the scars. =D

I just got my raise at work almost a month and a half earlier than I thought I would, and it is for more money than I thought it would be, so I might be able to swing things in a couple of weeks.

I really wish my work would get around to scheduling this stupid April event. I have a feeling that they don't actually finalize the schedule until January, though, so I have no way of knowing if it's even possible for me to come.

It's a freaking annual event. Why they like floating it around random weeks in April I'll never know.

Liz: recommended sights to see include the dune tour and the wild life preserve. Both of which are, unfortunately closer to the Virginia/N.C. border. I'll have to ask my wife for other suggestions.

You mean you didn't get paid for making that pretend armor out of beer boxes?

About 60% of those boxes I didn't buy. I just asked friends that drink that particular beer if I could have their boxes when they were done.

Also, I do have a campus job, but I don't make enough to justify a road trip to NC. We'll see what happens this May when I graduate....

You mean they're actually going to give you a degree? :D

Brian and I keep talking about going. I'd love to bring along Snoitcelfer, but time will tell on that one.

Thus far, I have three people who have committed financially to four segments total (rkitect, I still have not deposited the check -- I will do so by tomorrow, I promise). I see word from two others (Brian and Infin) about apparent probabilities, but not for how long, and a few musings here and there about those who would like to go.

The more people go, the more fun it will be. Think of stringing Jamie up under a series of kites and flying him over the ocean! (Well, until Deacon interferes with the wind and makes him set down 400 feet offshore...)

Well, I've just been "promoted" to "assistant manager" at work, which means more hours, which means more money, which means that my chances of going have risen from "HA HA HA HA HA! Yeah right!" to "I sure would like to go...", which is slightly more promising.

I'd love to go, but I guess I won't really know for sure 'til some time in January, which is a bit of a while from now... *shrug*

That's fine. There's still some time left.
