I wonder which'll happen first - the deadline for the deposit, or my company scheduling their April event. I'm starting to think they seriously don't bother scheduling it until February.

Chances are it wouldn't work out anyway (April is always hectic thanks to this event), but depending on when they schedule it, it might have been possible.

You can with a 90% certainty count me in for the second segment. Sure, I haven't given ya a penny yet, but that's the plan at the moment. w or w/o girlfriend and w or w/o Brian I should be there. So throw me on the "IN" list.

I would say I'm about 85% certain for the second segment.

I'm still 95% certain. I'll be making my deposit the moment I secure employment. (Ugh. Hopefully soon...)

I just paid off some of my credit card, so I will make the transfer of the other half of the deposit as soon as that goes through in a day or two

Unless I forget... again. :P

Presuming that those who recently posted are going for one segment each the price drops to about $740 per segment. See how quickly that goes?

There! Paid the damn thing

Except I forgot to leave a note with the payment... Still it should say my account name, which is obviously me.

Would it be possible, MB, for you to update your initial post showing the people who have signed up, and the possible people?

I think a list of who is coming will encourage others to sign up as well.

Someone else just quit. MORE hours for me, and there's nothing they can do about it 'til January.

On top of that, someone's just offered to help me with my student loan, and I'd be much more inclined to set some money aside for the gathering if I wasn't about $20k in debt.

Still, looks like it'll be some time January before confirmation. I'm going to wait until I can pay for everything(travel expenses included) this year, so I don't end up making a deposit and then not being able to go again.

Not saying yes 'cause I don't want to jynx it, but here's hoping.

Updated the original post.

Those of you planning on going, please get me your money soon. I want to get the actual reservation in place soon, but I need half of the rental money (about $1150) before I can do that. I have $400 of it, so another seven segment reservations will settle that out nicely.

By money, you mean the deposit or the full amount?

Either way. A few more segments of reservations cover it, as do a couple of people depositing segment costs based on the minimum level.

I personally won't be able to put in the full amount for quite a while. I am in the process of looking for a new job, and I need to wait as long as I can before I ask them if I can take time of in April... and they might say no, regardless of when I ask. (I really hope that's not the case)

You know, jobs prefer it if you tell them about those dates when you go in for the interview. You just say, "I wanted to mention that I have already scheduled a vacation for April, would that be feasible?" They usually say yes, since they are getting such an honest person and tons of notice.

I know I'm really new to the forum but it sounds like a lot of fun. I'm going to talk to my husband about it tonight after work. Hopefully I'll have an answer by tomorrow. :)

I was thinking of doing that Liz.

I just thought they are more likely to say no if I asked before I even started. If they have a policy against vacations before 1 year (Many places do), they will surely say no. If I have already been working there for 1 month and a half, and they see me as a good, long term employee, they might make an exception.

I guess I will have to think on it... I'll probably go with what you suggested, and just hope
