I actually wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't o-o;
It's nothing to do with you, Lucksi. I just know people who have done that sort of thing before. Like the friend who got lost in her backpack trying to get it off... or getting one of her hair buns stuck to the button of her shirt.
Rant: I have sty, so my right eyelid is all swollen and irritated.
Rant: This just makes me all the more aware that I'm near-sighted in my left eye and far-sighted in my right. Putting something on the right eye to calm down the swelling and trying to focus my left eye on... just about anything does not work.
Rave: I have Halloween cupcakes!

Rant: Side and back hurt from getting poked, prodded, and pushed at with an ultrasound paddle while laying in spine-warping positions for a half hour.
Rave: w00t! FFXII!
Rant: Have to work on a Psych paper instead of playing it.
Rave: Tickets to some obscure, good-looking, not-coming-out-soon movie at the Alamo Drafthouse tonight! (Behind the Mask)
Rant: Half hour or break and then more paper writing, plus studying, plus retake for my Stats exam thursday and all the studying I need to cram between then and now plus trying to prepare for my d&d game if I have time plus cleaning up plus all the keeping on top of classes I need to do and just ARGH I want more time!
Rave: Tomorrow is 11/1 is Cheap Candy Day, which is far better than Halloween. Hells yeh, biatches!

Rant: Target has crap for maternity clothing, including bras.
Rant: Victoria's Secret doesn't have any bras for me and I have a coupon and a gift certificate.
Rave: I think I've figured out what to get for Nathan (who is almost impossible to shop for) for Christmas!
Rave: I even have a coupon to buy it with!
Rant: I have excess money after paying all my bills and I blew $20 of it on a stupid manicure set I had no intention to purchase.
Rave: I get Pizza tonight while I send kids through a haunted house.
Rant: It's cold outside, where I'll be seated all night.
Rave: My husband is participating in the haunted house, so I don't even have to worry about making sure he has food for supper!
Rant: fuck my roommate. With a mace. A particularly sharp and pointy one.
Rant: housing director was a total prick on the phone, and made me tell him where I got the number. Didn't even give me time to MENTION the roommate.
Rant: Just cried because of the situation
Rave: um...crying made me feel (a little) better?
He refused to help you and made you tell him where you got the number so that he could get it removed? Go to the damned DEAN with that crap! Man should be FIRED.

megarave / confession / ALSO RANT: I am so in love with Richard Cheese's cover of Gin and Juice that I'm listening to it and singing along (horribly) entirely too much and just gah!
'Rollin down the street, smokin' indo, sippin' on gin and juice... (Laid back!) With my mind on my money and my money on my mind...'
Related confessional rant: ... It makes me want to get a band, get up on stage, abandon the "Babies Ate My Dingo!" concept, and just do lounge covers of popular songs, too.
Edit: Wocket! Missed your post. Yes. /agree with Blaze.

...can you explain why you would rave about playing golf? Not trying to be snippy or anything, I just ... don't get it, and am curious.
I mean, sure, it serves a function of ingrating yourself into the old-boy network that many golf-players populate, and provides a context for, excuse for, et cetera, for networking, and thus serves a purpose distinct from the game, but ... you seem to be raving about the game itself.

Golf is a good walk spoiled by looking for that infernal ball, lugging the clubs around/dragging the trolley/chasing the fucking electric one down a hill when it runs off.

Not. Getting. Him. Involved.
'Sides, I DID get some useful info from the head. Apparently, the week after Thanksgiving, there's a couple of days for open-switch. One day is for people moving within dorms, one is for people moving to different dorms.
...can you explain why you would rave about playing golf? Not trying to be snippy or anything, I just ... don't get it, and am curious.
I mean, sure, it serves a function of ingrating yourself into the old-boy network that many golf-players populate, and provides a context for, excuse for, et cetera, for networking, and thus serves a purpose distinct from the game, but ... you seem to be raving about the game itself.
I take offense and I think you owe every golfer on these boards an apology with that second paragraph, Fuggle. Old Boys Networks and Networking? What the Hell are you talking about. Man, I don't want to get mad or anything here but if you "don't mean to be snippy" you had better stop making insinuations like that.
I played with a couple of doctors today, by random chance (on busy courses, small groups are often combined to speed up play) if you must know, but only because all the old boys were already having drinks when I went out to play.
(Because a real golfer really loves having some high-falutin' jerk paired up with them, talking on their cellular phones and cheating like a heathen. Sorry to harp on that Fuggle, but that Old Boy stuff really gets to me. I smoke cigars, play golf and happen to be of European decent. That does not make me Whitey T. Mann. Damn you with this stuff sometimes, dude!)
Now, you want to know why I enjoy golf? Few things to keep in mind:
-Yes, for the scumbag who ruins the course and slows down the players behind him, golf is about networking and out-of-office deals. For the rest of us, a round of golf on a weekday signifies three things:
1) We have an afternoon free.
2) It's not raining, not too windy, not too cold.
3) We can afford $2-$5 per hole. (Approx. going rate for public courses.)
-Name another "sport" where you can smoke a cigar while doing well, even if you're playing in states like California or Massachusetts? Name another sport where some venues deliver beer to the PARTICIPANTS during their game? Name one where a healthy 23 year old male can be humiliated by a retiree who can hardly see 300 yards? Shit, name another sport where 80-90% of the people playing aren't paying all that much attention to their score?
-It was a 64 degree day in New England in the middle of autumn, and I was on a hillside laced with trees, ponds and jovial people while the sun set. Dude, tourists come across the country to see what I saw for a cab ride and greens fees.
-The actual act of playing the game is a difficult skill I've been working on for most of my life. A new course (I never played this one before) presents a new challenge, and I wanted to see if I could shoot as well or better than average on a new course. (I hit my target score right on the dot--45 for 9 holes--thank you very much. Of course, since you're obviously not a bowler, that means nothing to you.)
-And finally, because if they didn't give me a big bag of clubs, a ball and a target, they likely wouldn't have gotten my fat ass to do that much walking. While carrying the clubs, no less!

Dude, it's golf. Let it go.
Also you could have had that amazing view for free if you weren't golfing.
