Whatever happened to just the egg and the nog and nothing else? Isn't there any love in the world for grade A pure eggnog?

I'm the only one in my family that like eggnog; they are all repulsed by the idea of it. Oh well, more for me. :D

I like eggnog mixed with Sprite. Eggnog on it's own is too thick - blech! My mom got the bright idea to mix it with Sprite, thereby diluting it to taste. My husband will tolerate it, but he prefers eggnog on it's own.

No, you are supposed to mix it with X-lax...

... the point is that if anyone were to drink egg nog it would have to be a prank or sick joke of some kind because egg nog tastes like ass. Grrrrrrr... fuckin' egg nog.

I chug the stuff when it comes out.

However, I don't like it mixed with alcohol.

Isn't it an alcoholoc drink to start with?

Not the stuff you buy in the grocery store. They sell non-alcoholic egg nog so the whole family can enjoy it.

I make my own special egg nog from scratch out of bourbon and ice cubes.

But isn't the POINT of it to...

I've just realised I have no idea what egg-nog IS. Someone, anyone, explain?

It's basically milk, eggs, and sugar (and usually some spices are added for additional flavor). Alcohol is usually added to the mix for parties and such.
