I make my own special egg nog from scratch out of bourbon and ice cubes.
The Fry quote didn't go unnoticed.
I always mix eggnog with brandy and drink it in large quantities out of a brandy glass. It's getting drunk festively.

I might try egg nog this year. Its just that its normally so hot on Christmas, that the idea of drinking milk (even that which has alcohol in it) kinda makes me feel ill.

Actually the fact that it has alcohol in it probably makes you feel more ill. Milk and alcohol, not so good together. One curdles and has a tendency to make certain people sick, or anyone sick if they drink too much, and the other just plain makes people throw up.

I didn't say the mixes weren't good. Just thought that how you mentioned alcohol in that post seemed weird since, if anything, the addition of alcohol would make you sicker.
I also shouldn't have said "alcohol and milk, not so good together," but then again, alcohol is my bane.

You're failing to take into account that eggnog isn't really milk, even though that's one of the ingredients.

Also a problem - How does drinking ice cold milk in the heat make you sick, rather than feel better?

Eggnog is egg whites, whipped cream, a little milk, some sugar and some nutmeg. Whiskey, Rum and Brandy are common alcoholic additions. And I believe the original eggnog was heavy on rum. One of the best recipes I've ever used to make my own included plenty of whiskey and rum. Seriously like 1/5th of the mixture was milk.
