I'm holding off a decision on which console to buy until some time next year when they all have more games out.
...And I'll need to buy a decent tv, too. :(

Who selected both? Where do you live? And what sort of security routines and precautions do you keep and have?

/me hums the Indiana Jones theme
I'm gonna get me a Wii, though it's not released here until the 7th of December. Pretty good considering you guys have only just got it, and Japan, the country that made it, still hasn't got it. But damn! The games are expensive. 3rd party games have gone up and extra $9 from what they should be.

I got a Wii and me and my whole family love it!
... I have a 360, PS2, GC, PS, and Xbox. How many more consoles do I need?!
If you get a Wii you can get rid of your GameCube. Why do you still have a PS if you have a PS2?

Because I haven't bothered getting rid of it, and at the time not all my games would play (or so I thought). Mostly because I haven't bothered getting rid of it...

I think what yoctobot means is if you have a Wii/PS2 then you can get rid of your GameCube/PS because the Wii/PS2 can play GameCube/PS titles. How are you suppose to play the classics if you get rid of the only console that plays them? :)

I plan on getting a Wii eventually, I have the money but don't really have the desire to buy one right away. I just recently started playing WoW so that takes out most of my video game time. I may buy a DS this week though...

I plan to get a wii as soon as one's existing for my purchase at retail. I won't ebay it.

PS3, I eventually plan to get. Though looking at ebay, I'm kicking myself for having not reserved one or two or three. But I don't plan to get a PS3 until the same day I buy Guns of the Patriots. Or Mercenaries 2. Whichever comes out first.

Baghead, at first glance I thought that was a picture of the Phantasm ball. Then I saw it was an Indiana Jones pic and decided I'd rather have the Phantasm ball. And the creepy "Tall Man" who throws it at people.
My slow descent into madness seems to have abruptly become a flaming plunge.

I decided to check whether my store knew their Wii allocations yet, it seems all but certain I'll have mine on the European launch. :D

I didn't want either but my husband is getting the PS3...as far as the Wii I think it'd be confusing with two controllers....I'm too simple I guess :P

perpetualglow, 4 controllers, if you count the GC.

There is the Wiimote, the WiiNunchuck (requires the Wiimote), the WiiClassic and the GC controller.

FireAza, Nintendo games are the same price as they have always been here in the states, $50 US.

Something I just happen to think of. How the hell do I transfer my saved game from my GC memmory card to the Wii SD Card?
