pretendersfan, you would do well to sit back, relax, and just read the threads before jumping in and creating new ones. Respond to the threads you're reading, of course, should you have something worth saying, but in general step back and observe for a while. This is called "lurking" and is highly recommended for people who just discovered the forums.

In case there's any confusion, this is a forum community that has sprung up around the web comic Real Life and is not a "random stuff about life in general" forum.

If you do stick around, bear in mind that this is not AOL, and the tolerance for poorly written posts is fairly low. Use proper punctuation, try to maintain a writing level of at least your average high school kid, and take the time to make sure there are no hideously obvious typos (things like missing a space between "they" and "live" in the subject line), and you'll go a long way toward not having people think of you as an annoying doofus :)

It does kind of kill it when you have 4 posts and 3 of them are new topics.

I wanna know what planet old people live on? All they want is stuff for themselves, and won't let young people get on with having fun without complaining or trying to ruin our fun.
